Brave hector defense build

Ive basically abandoned getting a +def brave Hector which i really would want so I decided to invest in the free Hector. Heres my idea:

Slaying lance+(def)
Swap or pivot
Ignis
A: ostian counter
B: vengeful fighter
C: havent decided yet
Seal: distant counter or quickened pulse

This set allows brave hector to be an defensive monster. After buffs hector ends up with 43-49 bonus damage from ignis(depends on seal as its 43 without) or quickened pulse for ignis even faster. On the Same team as legendary hector ignis starts at 1 in the case of quickened pulse ae well

I believe you mean distant def as the seal, not distant counter.

I don't feel like giving up the QR on his weapon (thereby enabling him to use bold fighter) for 4 def is worth it. You're better off stacking more wards or even using the fortress def seal.

I always make that mistake when typing to fast i need to type slower. Anyway the thing about hector is that its a defensive build not mixed phase so bold fighter is worthless. Vengeful fighter gives him a better quick riposte than his weapon provides and allows him gain more special charge from it so in truth im losing 2 atk from the weapon change for 4 defense and +1 to special charge which i think is worth it. As for the team setup i wont be running him on my main armor team as i prefer hardin there and will use my brave Hector to compliment legendary hectors weaknesses on my tactic team

If you're determined to throw away his player phase, then you're doing it similar to how I would. Since ignis is going to go off anyways from him getting doubled, I would prefer tannenboom+def, harmonic lance+def, or reprisal lance+def.

You could try the new B skill, special figther.
I think it should go well on him since he can do double attacks with his weapon.
