Brave Ephraim is just ridiculous IS why????

I literally ran into a +10 B!Ephraim with 67 attack (no buffs) in arena and with the combination of special fighter, Ignis, and Garm he one round Ko’d my +10 chrom with bond falchion enabled...... that’s 42 defense for gods sake. I get the fact that he is a choose your legends pick but this is just ridiculous. then I did some calcs and appereantly he can one round Ko Zelgius with Bold Fighter and fierce stance At +10 with +ATK....

Are you sure your problem isn't with Special Fighter? In your calcs, Ephraim weapon's was disabled, which makes me believe that other green armored axes would be able to achieve the same result.
Try Zelgius with SF instead of Bold Fighter and see if the result changes.

I know the example I used wasn’t the best however, the fact that Ephraim can just one round zelgius with bold fighter, which is a common set in arena is in my opinion a little bit too much. Also, putting SF on zelgius would mean that you would have to use QR and from what I’ve seen Bold Fighter is more consistent since you don’t have a health requirement.

Your image didn't show Ephraim one rounding Zelgius. Zelgius attacks and then Ephraim attacks. Those are 2 turns. Also Fierce stand only works in Enemy Phase, so it's a useless skill when Zelgius initiated (and a it's usually substituted by Steady Breath or DC).
Bold Fighter is for player phase doubles, while QR is for enemy phase doubles. They are different skills.
Best set for Zelgius is Slaying Edge+DC+Bold Fighter+QR so he can trigger Black Luna in both phases. Only Wary Fighter Ephraim survives that, but dies when he tries to take him down.

However, SF is such a powerful skill that people will start changing their sets to counter it. Zelgius has enough speed to double units naturally, so he is a great candidate for it. Changing BF for SF will allow him to still charge his special in both phases while countering other player Fighter skills.

Oh, right, you were using Ignis instead of Aether.

Special Fighter is the key here. Remove it and Ephraim can't win. Give it to Zelgius and Ephraim can't win. SF will change armor sets because is a really powerful skill. Ephraim might be the best user of it because he comes with it, but other armors can also use it to great effect, above all, the ones with high speed. Guard 5 + Heavy/Flashing Blade + Steady/Warding Breath with more leniant restrictions. That's what is ridiculous.

I had to face a 10 ephraim with db 4 in an armor team today, thank the gods good ol tiki still wiped the floor with him, but the powercreep is starting to get out of hand.
This is whale city now.
