Brave Effie or Deffie?

Hey guys!
I just decided to build my Effie, so I wanted to ask if I - when I have the choice - should make her a bait or rather go all offense. My Effie is -Spd +Res and I will keep this IV set, since it grants boosted BST and even with Brave Lance some better matchup against dragons.

Now, as I don't have the resources for the bait build I planned to use I am forced to use Galeforce offense with Brave Lance currently. If I may ever have the choice: which one is better?

Brave Effie:
Brave Lance +
Galeforce
Death Blow
Wary Fighter
Armor March
SS: Heavy Blade 3
(my current setup)

or

Deffie:
Berkut's Lance(+Def)
Aether
Distant Counter
Vengeful Fighter
Armor March
Deflect Melee 3 (probably)

Both seem great to me. What do you think is better?

I like the Heavy Blade one, but at the moment I run it with Silver Lance Def plus and Bonfire.
I would build her as Ur tank team needs her.
I got an Amalia with Armor March (she's my double Attacker and Offence) a Thalja Winter (as Res Tank) so I needed a good check against Strong non magical Attackers.
So with what units do u want to use her?

Well, that's a little blind spot...
My only honestly strong tanks are her and BK. Maybe I will invest into my Sheena some day but in the first time she will just stand there with BK and gets buffed from behind.
So, as BK is a bait, she's fine with offense I guess?

However, my Armor Emblem will change. I just don't know the units I'll add.

One Effie Could be the Resistance Tank with Distant Counter and the second one would be Defensive. (I think Effie is always kinda offensive with that Atk stat)
It would just get real expensive then, furthermore are Winter Thalja and Chrom knda limited :/ As I said i have W Thalja in my team myself, shes super strong (Even only 40 unmerged because I was SUPER unlucky - only went on red and got shit)

Yeah, not to talk about my so called "luck" in the christmas banner...
Well, that was rather theorycraft actually. I'm F2P with so less orbs that I can't afford to snipe so I need to take what comes and not what I want. However, a balance of two offense, two defense in a team is always a good start. I will keep this in mind, though I don't really believe that I can ever do it.
As for Defense and Res-Effie: I tend to build mixed tanks, as they are less situational. In the first term this does only mean that I won't just merge my identical Effies because I want to see if I happen to be lucky one day.
So: I have a dream, that one day a F2P player gets what he wants. That F2P and P2W share Tier 20 with equal prevalence. Let freedom ring from the top over the arena scoreboard!

Ok, I had a funny little idea:
As I am blessed with two -Spd +Res Effies I could just play both of them in the same team. Paired with Tharja (bait) and Chrom (offense) this might even be the most powerful Armor Emblem ever xD
I just need 17 more copies of Effie, Winter Tharja and Winter Chrom then...

My setup is as follows:

Berkuts Lance + (+Res)
Glimmer
Distant Counter
Wary Fighter 3
Hone Armor (sadly no Armor March)
SS: Distant Def 3

IV's are +Hp -Spd, merge status is +4, translating to the following statline (with Summoner Support)

HP 60 (65)
ATK 56 (58)
SPD 20 (22)
DEF 35 (37)
RES 28 (30)

Paired with a Winter Tharja she is the core of my Arena Team and performs pretty well

Well, I could do that. But I usually tend to build my tanks to perform well against both, magical and physical damage. As she already has 34 Res with boon and Lance (which is higher than her Def) I wanted to patch her Def up then. Additionally I consider that there is no armor piercing magical weapon currently but the physical ones become more common. As I want her to survive as much potential threats as possible I decided that her Defense, is slightly more important than her (still impressive) Res.
However, this way her defensive statlines are exactly one point higher than the commonly used +Def Effie with Berkuts Lance (+Res). Funny enough no one thinks about that.
