He isn’t fast enough to utilise desperation, that’s why most people run defensive sets on him that hit hard on retaliation, such as using quick riposte

I get that bit - but wouldn’t it be difficult getting him below 50% health in the first place to make use of it?

Almost any mage will kill him, and he’s very slow so most common red units will double him and kill him before he gets into the 50% health bracket to activate it. And if you take off Iotes shield for something else he can be killed off by archers as wel

There are better users of Desp+Brash. Michalis is effectively Green Xander with good physical tanking properties and runs well with Quick Riposte instead. With Hauteclere gaining refining treatment, this may shed some light for him and his sister.
