If you really need desperation and can't wait anymore go for it. Navarre is a Grand Hero Battle unit which makes him limited so doing this is not ideal. Also if you're settling for desperation 2, Mae also has it a 4*

Navarre, while being a GHB only unit, does not have the best stats for a sword unit. So if you don't care, then you can use Navarre.

To say you’d wait an eternity for Shanna is almost a joke. She’s available at 3-4*, meaning there is a high possibility that you pull multiples of her quickly if you just pull blues on summoning with a large amount of orbs.

I would advise against sacrificing Navarre for desperation since you would have to bring him to 5* for desperation 3, and with 2, you could kill off a Mae for that. I’ve actually sacrificed a 5* Mae for desperation when I had no Shanna because I just summoned her and she was -ATK+DEF, which was so atrocious that killing her off seemed like proper justice, plus I had several other better blue tome users.
