Powercreep serves a purpose though. Sure a lot of people like Arden and Genealogy is super popular. But take FE7 fans for instance. Hector is sort of relevant but dying out, Lyn was never really good and Ayra probably pushes her further away, Eliwood was also never really relevant and Roy pushes him further out. Nino is the only character from the game that can do much of anything anymore. The issue with powercreep is that because the dev's aren't supporting old characters because they understandably want to make money, older units that were once great, or even at least usable, are becoming more and more useless. Even just making more skills like Arvis and Arden's rings inheritable could help since older character's could USE the new stuff to be relevant, but by locking it away they can't even do that.
Not to mention Arden can't double attack let alone quad in his own game since the double attack skill is speed based.

There isn't much of anything that draug can do that Arden can't though. Sure Draug has better speed, but a built Arden will always quad, while a built draug will at best always quad while at low health. Aside from speed Draug has two points of resistance on Arden, that's all he can boast. Every stat other that that Arden beats him in.

Draug is still a good unit, just because Arden is better, doesn't mean Draug sucks. To be fair, I could say that just because Sigurd is technically better than Eldigan, you could say Eldigan sucks, but he doesn't, I use him all the time still.

Sigurd is better. Its why everyone was freaking out about his abilities when he was announced. I'm not saying Draug or Eldigan is bad. I'm saying the new ones are a little TOO good and overshadow them. Anyone wanting a high arena score should definitely be using newer units rather than old ones since they'll give a higher score if equipped with the same skills.

They aren't THAT good, I have been using Sigurd and Arvis, and they feel like every other unit. They aren't that OP or important, there skills are good, but not broken. I would honestly say that my Eldigan is better than my Sigurd.

It's not just about broken. Its about BST in the arena. If one person runs a team of old units that have the most expensive build possible, and someone else runs newer units, the person with newer units will end up getting the higher arena score due to the higher BST. Granted that is assuming they both get deathless runs, but in high tier that's the only way to stay up anyway.

Arden’s a power creep? He can easily be defeated at a range with magic. His exclusive skill and his low mobility and RES makes a perfectly fair, but strong, unit.

Exclusivity is power creep. It makes him the only armor that can quad while having his BST focused outside his speed as reliably as he can. Others could do it with brash assault. With that and the ring though he quads whenever he initiates. Outside merging what is the point of Draug now for instance?

I don’t mind exclusivity. Since the release of Skill Inheritance, it’s the only thing that makes units like him relevant. If Follow-Up Ring could be inherited, I’m sure Arden would just be used as fodder for it. We wouldn’t see much diversity if skills like this could just simply be passed to top-tier units. Although I do agree that poor Draug is practically non-existent now.
