Bold Fighter 3 and Winter Chrom - Dilemma

I have a Brave Axe+ setup with Bold Fighter 3 on him. However I don't use him that often since I have an excess of green armors, I feel (hello +2 Amelia, LA!Hector, and Grima). I was debating on sacrificing him to my (+HP/-RES, +1) H. Jakob, especially since we're getting a free Takumi soon for that Close Counter.

What should I do?

Halloween Jakob wants either a Close Counter Guard Bow set, or a Brave Bow Bold Fighter set. You shouldn't give both Close Counter and Bold Fighter to him, they're for different sets.
If you fodder the Takumi, don't fodder Chrom, and vise versa.

His mixed phase set is actually very threatening and does indeed run bold fighter with close counter...... And its the slaying bow set..............

Yeah, this is what I was wanting to do with Jakob. Looking up some numbers makes it seem pretty intimidating.

I think the first commentor means either guard bow + close counter + close defense seal build, or Bold Fighter Brave Bow build.

Slaying Bow + Close Counter + Bold Fighter sounds like a good mixed phase idea but some people prefer dominating one phase instead of being decent on both, and I personally agree with that. H! Jakob has decent amount of mixed bulk, but factoring his speed that becomes a bit shaky without some skill support such as distant def and close def, esp when he has no access to colour advantage.

That being said, I still prefer mixed phase Jakob coz it's more fun that way :p

I say go for it....bold fighter is really good for ranged units.

I too have a wlissa that is really good in fights but mostly sits in the bench. Mostly bec my only armor march (henry) is also green so i tend to not run them together. And she NEEDS march to utilize bold fighter effectively. So ye....this is less of a problem on a ranged unit like ur hjakob

If you do it you will have killed of two S+ units to give bold fighter to Jakob.

I have bold fighter on my Jakob, and he may be my favorite unit, but I would make him servicable with the Close counter, Guard setup until you get some merges or a +atk
