Blue Flame PSA

The skill is inheritable. That's insane. It's our first new inheritable 500 SP special since launch.

...Err...

wut?

Edit:
Yep. It is.
Well, I'm putting my helmet on because I know that there are people who're gonna rage now.
(In all honestly, it's probably not as OP as it seems, given the bond effect)

What's the confusion about? I know they never explicitly stated it was uninheritable, but it just seemed too unique for everyone to have access to it.
Edit: You replied while i was typing so this is kind of irrelevant

Well, good thing I got a - Spd Owain then... Maybe for Lilina or some other highly merged unit I have. Wouldn't this be the best option for a high score Alfonse or something?

Edit: And no, I don't think it's broken, at least for fighting enemies that use it. Enemies don't use bond effects too well. Thanks for the warning, by the way.

Owltome units might be a good choice for it.
Or units like Owain.

I agree it's not broken, not even for players. You can get a lot of damage out of it, but getting out the max damage is restricting. And +10 for normal is worse that the other specials most of the time.

I'm too happy from my pull results to be salty. However, when the bliss is gone there will be A LOT of salt.

Actually, I might be wrong. It's kind of like a bond skill except in the form of a special. But the powercreep is considerable if that's the case. Atk/def bond would increase damage from bonfire by 7-8 damage; blue flame gives twice that much for being next to an ally.

Report

It's easy to give into the salt with new, strong skills.

But I think it won't be powercreep that much stronger than some other stuff we got, since the skill is quite weak if you can use the bond boost.

Still a strong skill though

No, the part that upsets me is that it's somewhat stupid. Like, remember the satirical post I made with the 600SP special that gives arena points on activation? This sounds almost as stupid. "Special. Does 10 damage, or 25 if adjacent to an ally. Just does free damage for no reason except that it activated. Forget about leveraging some stat that's actually meaningful to the character.

The one thing that pleases me about this skill is for characters like Legault who have trouble finding enough damage due to relatively low atk and not having a stat to leverage. Now if you can play smart and stick to an ally, you've actually got a big 3-charge special.

Report

Well, it's just their way of scaling it off bond instead of skills.
I suppose you could increase the % if next to an ally, but I think it's fine.

Aside from bond users, this skill is probably best on units with high speed but no other stand out stats. They can use flashing blade with it.
I also think think that Takumi with his refined bow can do great with it + atk/spd bond and escape route.

Honestly, emblem teams seem optimal with it. Especially armors and dragons.
