Not a huge fan of the -owl tomes. I don't have Robin right now but I thought it would be nice to have my +Atk Mae be effective against both red and colorless units. I have Lucina with rally speed to bring her up to 35 speed if necessary. Would this be a good weapon to inherit? I also have +3 attack skill equipped on her A slot, and I was thinking I could just try and go all out for the OHKO and give her LaD 2 with Blarraven, which would give her 55 attack without buffs.
Sure. I'm actually in the process of building a similar Mae (her IVs are +Atk/-Res) so she can be on a team with my Lucina too. LnD is a good choice, but I'm choosing to go the Death Blow 3 route since I want her to be able to tank some magical hits if needed. She could do lots of damage already if I factor in an attack buff and Lucina's Spur Atk 3.
First off,I want to say that I think overall Robin runs Raven the best with his stats, as he has decent defenses to tank hits from archers, most notably with triangle adept he takes 0 damage from the likes of quad Cordelia or takumi as well as tank powerhouses like ryoma.
On the other hand, Mae can run blarraven just fine as well and while she has less defense she has much higher res allowing her to deal with red mages like Katarina, Celica, or tharja. The main thing though is that she will fare worse against archers unless you can one shot them before they can attack her underwhelming 16 defense, and while her res is good, magic damage from staves isn't really a threat even to Robin with his lowish res.
However with all that said, if you really like Mae, go for it, she can make it work just fine with her much better attack and slightly better speed, you'll just have to be careful to get the first hit to kill some targets before they can hit you. Besides if you don't like the owl tome, there's no reason not to change it anyway.
