Blade Tome Team?

So, I'm looking at my units and I have a built up good nature Nino, and a built up okay nature Ephraim. I have a perfect nature Mae and both a +Atk and +Spd -Def (on both) Eirika that I could train as well and a +Spd, -Atk Tharja. I also have an Axezura and an OG Olivia trained as well. With this, what could I do to create a good Blade Tome based team?

Any kind of help is appreciated as I'm unsure mostly of the last spot. I assume Ephraim, Nino and Mae, but I'm not sure if I use Eirika or Olivia. Eirika can run Triangle Adept to work with our two blue units, but I'm not sure which nature to choose and what skills to run overall for both of them a bit.

Thank you for any help you give!

I don't think Mae is needed in a blade team if you have Ephraim, I would just run a dancer instead.

I run and believe this is one of the best configuration of blade tome teams: Nino, Ephriam, Tharja, and P. Azura. Its disgusting!

What about my -Attack Tharja? I do have attack seals that could help, even if they aren't +3 yet but Tharja does seem like a nice unit to use. Any help with skills on the units?

If you’re looking to run two Bladetomes on one team, I’d pick Tharja over Mae in general. Blue’s not the greatest color for magic these days, and Ephraim can take care of all your blue needs on his own... particularly with something like a TA/Lancebreaker build.

You might try a combo of Nino / Ephraim / Axezura / Tharja.

Nino and Ephraim are simply amazing together and form the core of my own team. They don’t even have “good” IVs, Nino is +Res -Spd and Ephraim is +HP -Atk, lol.

Axezura’s buffing abilities are incredible for bladetome users and absolutely should not be passed up on. Seriously. She has ruined so many of my Arena runs this way. Lol.

Finally, Tharja. Between skills and buffs, you can probably get past the -Atk thing just fine. The toughest Tharjas I’ve faced always run a glass cannon Life and Death build, so probably go with that on her.

I’m a little tired presently, so I hope this makes sense... and I hope this helps, too! Good luck!

It does make sense and I do appreciate it. As I said in another reply, I can run Attack seal on Tharja. My Axezura is pretty bland nature (+Res, -HP), but I assumed a Triangle Adept build for her would be fine. My Ephraim (+Res, -Spd) I'm just running with his weapon refine and Death Blow+Renewal. Any thought specifically on Tharja and Nino's C skills? Those are some of the main skills I'm unsure on at the moment.

Good question. C skills are always the hardest, aren’t they? Lol.

Their default C skills work great, honestly! If anything, you might want to switch Nino from Hone Attack to a Res booster. Red mages could be a problem with this team, so bolstering Ephraim’s ability to tank those hits is probably wise.

Alternatively, a Ploy skill could work out on a +Res Fury Nino, but it’s sketchy.

Tharja is fine with Savage Blow. It’ll help soften up her next target. If you want though, you can switch her to a buffing skill.

Generally, steer clear of Threaten on both of them. Threaten doesn’t work well on ranged attackers, IMO.

Yeah looking at the team, I noticed you mentioned Triangle Adept on Ephraim so I was wondering, since I would be running two Green units, if I should give him Triangle Adept. That would let both Nino and Axezura have Fury and leaves Tharja with Life and Death. That way, Azura doesn't make our red weakness super apparent and Ephraim can become a great anti-red unit, even moreso than he already is.

Never really thought of Savage Blow on Tharja, that might be interesting..

Ok so I'm not sure if you're still checking this thread, but just in case...

Alright so this is embarrassing. In my last comment, I was thinking Savage Blow was Tharja's native C skill.... but it's not. That's what I get for build crafting late at night, lol. Nevertheless, I still think it's a good option for her. It should further help out her -Atk IV, too.

TA works wonders for Ephraim IMO. IDK about +Res, but my +HP Ephraim can't handle red magic/dragons without it. It also makes him nigh-invincible vs all those high-powered swordlords out there.

TL;DR: Yes, I'd strongly recommend TA on Ephraim. Especially for this team. :)

Fury on Axezura sounds like a great idea. With 34 Res, you could try a Ploy seal or skill on her. Just an idea.
