Black Knight+1 - Yes or No?

So i upgraded the 4Star BK to 5Star and im about to go get the 5Star version as well, leaving me with two 5Star Black Knight units.
So what then?
Would it be advisable to get him to +1, or should i rather get the other one around for possible inheritance or perhaps a Armor Emblem team in the future.

It depends on your needs as a player. The big advantage to that first +1 merge is the arena scoring boost...but the Black Knight already has great arena scoring thanks to 1) high BST, 2) a legendary weapon, and 3) a 500 SP Special.

Personally, I'm going to merge him eventually...not because it's the best move strategically but because he's a favorite character of mine from the series and I want to get him as strong as possible. But I'm not promoting the 4* just to merge now as I have other higher priority projects ongoing.

Gotta agree on him being one of my favourites. Path of Radiance is my number 1 out of all the titles, but im not all too lucky when it comes to pulling those units.
Im hoping for Ike since im lacking a real top scorer for the red spot (Brave Roy was the title holder before i got black knight)
But as i can only get two copies right now, im not sure what the best move would be.
I dont think he is worth using for inheritance as alondite and black luna are his main perks in terms of skill, and they are unique to him.
but running two black knights against non magical team (depending on the skill setup even against magical units) would be decimating.
but improving his already high stats even further is favourable as well...

I'm just adding onto Kaihaku's reply here. 2 stats from merging are rarely important, however in the Black Knight's case, the extra HP helps him utilise the new Panic Ploy Sacred Seal better, especially against cavalry units since the difference between 43 and 44 HP can be quite significant. The extra Attack on the other hand also benefits him quite a lot due to the effects of his Black Luna, every single point of attack can be the difference between a kill or not.

Although merging still isn't all that valuable despite what I wrote, I would still personally do it simply because he's one of my favourite characters and he's not really worth inheriting in my opinion.

You can merge later when you get more. Can always use them separately since I see a lot of this going on. All those are 5-10 with interesting setups, but I still mop those guys up with Elincia.
