Black Knight A & B skills

I know skills are opinion and play style based, but I'm undecided for A and B slots.

A. Steady Breath / Life & Death
B. Wrath / Wary Fighter

I want to test BK in an armored emblem with Effie and Amelia, but will also be using him in other teams to see what I like best.

Could merge spare Effie, but I like Wary fighter a little better than Wrath just because Wrath is more situational. Would like opinions.

I like the increased Atk and Spd of L&D but I like the idea of a faster Luna charge as well. Would like Opinions.

Steady Breath and Wrath is the way to go between the two choices. Life and Death isn't worth making him vulnerable to turn him into Ryoma. His Draug-level resistance gets worse and probably is gonna make it harder for him to survive multiple green mages. Wary Fighter is kinda bad on Black Knight considering it's kinda already built into him because of his high speed.

I know this isn't a question aimed at me, but I think I can provide something of value here.

I honestly believe both QR and Wrath are quite overkill, but not overkill at the same time.
If you think about it, QR let's him hit twice on the counter with his 50+ attack stat and a guaranteed Black Luna due to Steady Breath.
While Wrath on the other hand let's him bait a hit, instantly retaliate back with QP!Black Luna and basically kill anything with HP in the low to mid 40s, regardless of colour.

The biggest difference between the two is; A, their activation requirements, and B, the units their aimed at killing.
The benefits of Wrath is the ability for him to kill blues, whilst it's downside is that it causes him to lose out against speedier and bulkier reds and even some greens. The activation requirement is also a lot more flexible, making it easier for Black Knight to gain it's benefits.
The benefits of QR on the other hand, is the ability to secure more kills on reds and greens at the cost of his blue killing potential, which is his main job and why I think Exile says Wrath is overkill. QR's activation requirements are more limited making it less flexible than Wrath or Vantage, however, due to his bulk and the defensive tiles in Arena, I can say from experience, it's honestly very easy to stay in QR3 range.

So, to summarise a very long read, they both have their own perks and weaknesses, it purely depends on your playstyle and your team.

Edit: I would also like to add that with Wrath, despite losing to some reds or greens without his ability to double with QR, they most likely can't hit him back very hard either.
My Budget build Black Knight with Steady Stance and QR single handlely killed a whole team of Sonya, Ryoma, Brave Lyn, and Regular Ike without losing QR3 threshold while sat on a defensive tile (note that he did have DD Seal and at least B rank Summoner Support at the time).

Wow, thank you for the VERY in depth response. I think I got a good idea on what I want to do now, you and Exiled set me up pretty good. Thank you for the responses!

Life & Death can be incredible on the Black Knight...but it requires the right set-up, including some specific team support, to pull it off.

First... If you're not going to run Vantage then I wouldn't bother with Life & Death. It's a high risk/high reward playstyle that isn't going to work on a unit with one square movement unless said unit has some way of hitting attackers first.

Second... I think Hone Armor is essential to provide the attack boost to OHKO critical targets like Linde, Delthea, and S!Corrin. Note that Brave Lyn and Brave Ike do not bypass armor buffs.

Third... That last point is only true if said blue mages are unbuffed. I think Panic Ploy in the C slot is essential for ensuring that enemies don't simply overpower the Black Knight with cavalry/flier buffs. This also ensures that Brave Bow+ Brave Lyn will not take advantage of cavalry buffs to quad-hit our hero.

As evidence, I offer my own Black Knight.
