A bit bitter today.
I feel like something changed in AR.
Like they became significantly harder this season.
Maybe the A.I finally changed.
In 1 out of 5 matches, I didnt move the first turn, but the A.I did. Dances and all
I remember facing a team where I triggers the lightning trap and did damage to one of their units but they didn't attack during their turn. I found that really odd. They weren't closed off either (at least I don't believe they were) so they could have started making their way down towards my units.
I'm pretty sure the lightning trap does because I've faced a team that intentionally positioned a cavalry unit to take damage from the lightning trap and then on their turn he came down and the dancer wings of mercy'd down and danced him to come barreling into my team. That's why I expected it to happen again recently.
Traps have never triggered AI movement to start. The only exception to this is if a healer can move to heal a damaged ally from the trap. Then if near a dancer, can be refreshed and either move again (which would include the new attack range to target one of your units), or do another heal on an adjacent unit.
You can test this on your own defense map. Don't believe me? Put the real lightning trap nowhere near your defense units and step on it. Enemy AI won't move. You need to be in the enemy threat range to start AR battles, which includes extended range described by the above scenario. This is why the lightning trap is normally close to the threat range for positioning purposes.
Extending threat ranges include these skills/seals:
-Armor Boots / Armor March
-Aerobatics / Grimoire tome (H! Nowis).
-Wings of Mercy
These skills have always caught players off guard during its 2 years of life.
