I'm willing to take tips on the build itself too.

Wierd, I see differend skills when clicking on the picture.
Is the build you surgets the one with swift sparrow, bolt fighter and heavy blade?

Wierd.
Well with DC, Berkut's lance is the prime option.
That with close def seal can help you allround.

Though he does have the problem of not being able to double in enemy phase, his speed isn't high enough for that.

If you go for full defence, yes.

But that might not be his best bet.
His defence is the worst of all melee armored units
What makes Eliwood stand out is his great attack, combined with good speed.
So if you massively invest in his speed, he could work around that.

Give him aether, slaying spear (spd), fury and a spd/def 2 seal.
He reaches 40 speed with this, alongside respectable 34/32 defences.
With this, you can add in special fighter if you have it. But that might be hard to come by.
Another option is to stick with bolt fighter, and give him a darting stance seal.
This way he uses the speed in the enemy phase, while bolting in the player phase.
Most of the fights are going to be enemy phase though.

the only universal option for lancer are the slaying lance, harmonic lance, reprisal lance, or berkut lance.
slaying lance if you focus on melee, and want aether. you can use breath and proc aether every battle.
harmonic lance if you dont care about WTD.
reprisal lance is just for more attack, since he has nice 38 already.
berkuts lance is normally for DC option.

it will work too if you dont mind to fodder winter robin, as he himself is a pretty good unit, and brazen atk spd and armor march also a pretty good skill from him.

but with that weapon, you will be a stricly enemy phase build, because the effect from that weapon is active on enemy phase.

Casa Blanca has Dull Ranged, which is a nice weapon for a DC unit to have, just kinda situational. Keep it for budget.

Slaying Lance accelerates your special cooldown, which is always powerful.

Reprisal Lance as a premium option. Can really help kill things in the enemy phase.

If you're willing to sack a GHB unit, Berkut's Lance helps with Magic/Dragon tanking.

Harmonic Lance adds damage to the special, again, always powerful.

There are always good seasonal options like Tannenboom and Shell Lance, but they're not always available.
