Best users of Steady Stance 4?

only caveat: I don't want to hear any armor units as an answer. I have literally a good IV of every top armor unit and I still hate using them. I don't particularly care about arena score so that's whatever.

Thanks!

Units that can’t use Breath skills as they have their limitations of not being able to equip those skills. So, units who are Fliers/Cavaliers would work with this skill. Xander is a popular option of being able to use Steady Stance 4 as he has a DC weapon. Palla and Seth could also use this skill for close combat.

thank you, I was highly considering this, but if i start giving xander/camus premium skills like this I will feel obligated to +10 them haha

How about a +speed/-hp summer young tiki? I think she would be great with it, her only downside is not having distant counter then

Yeah, the only downside to S!Y!Tiki having Steady Stance 4 is that she doesn’t have DC. Well, you can give her Lightning Breath+ that would make her 10x better, but that’s 20k feathers going down the drain. I wouldn’t put that skill on 5* Seasonals/Exclusives as there tends to be a ‘better’ and more ‘optimised’ build for them. S!Y!Tiki would much appreciate DC as her A skill.

I dunno if Tiki would be able to proc it well.
If she doesn't get doubled, the special delay won't matter anyway.

I think the best use is to make people saver when taking two hits.

Report

but isn't the point just that if you put it on a unit that has high speed and can't be doubled, then it essentially prevents the unit from ever taking special damage? unless i'm totally misunderstanding that

Report

Well. A unit will start the battle with, say, 2 charge.

If the attacker doubles:
Unit attack -1 > enemy attacks -1 > first unit procs special

If unit attacks once:
Unit attack -1 > enemy attacks -1 > End fight/enemy attacks

So if the attacker only attacks once, there's no need to slow down the special. Since it won't proc anyway.

Report

The biggest three factors are:
Slow unit
Enemy phase unit.
Has no clear better choice (DC, Breath skills)

Xander is the most obvious choice, since he's amazing against melee units and archers as long as they don't proc their specials.

Some mixed ranged bait units would like it as well.
Lyon and Julius can use it to bait in archers, and many mages rely on specials. So the skill guards them even from mages
And it leaves their B slot open for quick riposte.

If we ever get a unit with close counter build in their weapon, they'd be great for it as well.

I haven't done it yet but was considering to fodder SS4 to my def+ Leo as it would compliment his wep refine ability nicely.
