Best users of special fighter?

Other than Ephraim of course. What unit could make best use of it? High defences unit or high speed unit maybe?

I have a +7 Effie (+res -spd, Berkut's Lance+def, DC, Wary Fighter) and +4 M!Grima (+atk -def, VF for now) that I really like to use. Effie has been more or less powercrept by Hector (who I pulled a neutral version of) but she has high merges so... could either of them make use of Special Fighter well or are they better off sticking with what they've got? It sounds like it could make for some good tankiness with the guard effect.

We should really make a thread and try to analyze thoroughly the use of special fighter. In less than 48 hours we have had at least 5 of this question, sometimes with specifics offered like your Effie case, sometimes just "who should I give SF to". Not faulting you for asking, because it's an important question that needs to be asked right now, but I don't think it's good when all the information is scattered all around and we're not able to concentrate and combine our work on it to build a solid picture.

I think it's a reasonable skill for Effie, but especially if you don't dump her spd (dump HP instead), wary fighter might actually be better because you take one less hit vs mostly everybody and you might block bold fighter. It will save her vs non-bold quads, and I'm not entirely convinced Effie needs that many special charges, so massive is her atk stat. Just a +10 moonbow will probably destroy most things, or you could go brave lance (+heavy blade?)

Sorry, I actually read back 6 pages in here and didn't see this question asked, so I thought I'd ask it. Maybe I could've missed it, I've seen people asking about higher speed/average attack armour units like Amelia, Henry, and LA!Lyn but not lower speed hard hitters like Grima and Effie.

I do like Effie's Wary Fighter, she's really hard to kill, but I guess I wasn't sure if there were better CD-lowering avenues since I haven't tried many different things. Thanks for the response.

If my memory serves, you're correct in that we haven't had a question about it on high atk low spd armours. People have asked about it on the fast armours and on Sheena but not on an Effie statline. So basically I think you're confirming what I said about "we should try to consolidate our analysis of this skill" - we have one topic about one type of statline here, another about a different type of statline there, another somewhere just asking the question generally; it's best if we can find a way to put it all together and refer people to it and keep on building on that centralized picture anytime we get a question about an aspect of the skill we haven't explored.

Either of them could use special fighter if they are using the QR seal. Special fighter protects when they inevitably get doubled.

In general I'd put it on very slow armors with QR either from their seal or weapon. Speedy armors that that can double on their own are also a good choice.

Too bad there's only one QR seal. I think Grima could make use of it, his defences aren't fantastic and it could help him survive longer than VF.

i would give it to faster armored that dont need bold or vengeful fighter like xmas Robin or Amelia tho
