Best user of Carrot Lance+?

Hey y'all! A long time ago I got a def-/res+ 5* Spring Xander... he's so bad that I pretty much haven't used him since I got him. Any units/builds that can effectively use his Carrot Lance+?

I'm thinking about a field medic build with Renewal 3 and Reciprocal Aid or something like that. I know it would pair well with Fury 3 too... I just don't know who to Inherit it off to.

Anyways, thanks for the advice!

You mean the unit that has the highest defense of all blue cavaliers, and one of the highest defense stats of all cavaliers in general..?

Have you... tried using him at all? Tried capitalizing on his high defense stat? He's a cavalier, so he has easy access to Fortify Cavalry's +6 defense buff, not to mention Close Def/Quick Riposte, and maybe Guard 2 in his B slot (in case you don't want to invest too much into him).

I'd recommend to at least try using him before tossing him to the curb.

You have a good point. Yes, I've tried using him (but to no avail); I've simply never needed him. Reinhardt or Camus or some other blue unit always serve better. And I suppose I could make him usable with investment, but there's already many other better 5* units I have that I could make stronger with less investment... So for me, it makes no sense to keep him around.

Well, you can't really compare Xander to Reinhardt because they function completely differently, that's like comparing the Lance that can Penetrate Anything to the Shield that Can't be Penetrated.

One will kill a lot of what you find in front of you (Reinhardt) while the other will block anything that confronts you (Xander).

Camus, on the other hand, has a Distant Counter lance, so I guess?

If you're that adamant on not using him, then I guess it really doesn't matter who you fodder Carrot Lance to. It's not really that great of a lance, at least in my opinion, when compared to things like Slaying Lance, Berkut's Lance, or Harmonic Lance. Like someone else pointed out, you can give it to someone that has Fury so they can heal some of the Fury damage they take.

He's an amazing unit with high Def, you can make him into a Slaying Lance+ and Ignis bomb. Great for horse emblem as he can reach staggering amounts of Def.

If you do want to fodder him, I would Fodder him to units who have skills that inflict damage on the skill wielder, so skills like: Fury, Atk/Spd Push, Etc...

I'd go with a Carrot Lance+ and Fury set which is only effective in the player phase as the unit will heal and take damage. Units like Donnel work really well with this set.

Swap/Reposition
Ignis
A: Fortress Def
B: Guard
C: Threaten Atk/Def

You will not be disappointed. He’s a god tank who can serve as an unmoveable shield for any need.
