Best Steady Breath + Aether user?

So I got a B.Ike on last L.Hector banner and recently got 2 Silases, so I'm ready to fodder the 2 together with Chrom or Raven to get the two skills in the title without using up any feathers.

I initially got them for Nowi.
I already got a +Def-spd A.Tiki with W.Breath (so she can tank a mage with dd3 seal).

As I was about to SI the stuff into Nowi, I froze up and asked myself if she's really the best user of those skills I got.

I think that if possible, it would be best to give them to a unit that has built-in DC into their weapon.
So that leaves only dragons from the common pool.

I have few Fae and F.Corrin, but enough A.Tiki and Nowi to +9 each of them, but only 340K feathers (and 13 copies of Soren and a spare Helbindi).

Other candidates I can think of right now are Fjorm and Hardin, but I'm not sure I'll ever add any merges on them.

From non-DC heroes, I can think of Lukas (but I feel like he would prefer having Bonfire with SB and Slaying axe for a special on every counterattack) and Sharena (because she's a bonus unit).

Most of those units are blue, but it's only because they're the ones that come to my mind right now, it could be another color.

The point is: is it still worth to build such a Nowi in December 2018? Especially with all those skills nullifying adaptive damage in the game's files?

Edit: For context, I've also got most chain challenges and squad battles left to be cleared.

Edit 2: there's this Libra (+ATK-hp) I kind of want to build, but I think I'll keep it budget, keeping Wo Gun and renewal and slapping fury on him

A lot of alternatives have arisen for Nowi, many of which require additional buff support. Here are a few:

Light breath (or glittering breath) + DC + special spiral + atk smoke + spd smoke + aether + infantry flash support. Skip atk smoke if you don't have access to infantry flash.

With +res -HP and res-refined breath, steady stance 4 + QR. You won't get a one-round aether; you can use mystic boost to tie you over if you want. A bit of a passive build, but very solid.

brazen atk/spd + null follow-up + spd smoke + flashing blade. An aggressive build, to be sure

(anticipating a skill found by dataminers) warding breath + null dazzle/sweep + QR

If you decide to give Lukas SB, I would recommend harmonic lance + ignis + spiral. Either that or use steady stance 4 + QR + slaying + ignis.

I gave my extra spiral to Ophelia and I don't want to fodder my +SPD Lewyn nor my Surtr right now

Very interesting options, but I don't have most of the fodder you suggested, or I'm not willing to sacrifice the units that got it (SF.Nino, Surtr, L.Hector,...)

And it's kinda besides my point. I'm not looking for different Nowi builds, just making sure giving SB+Aether to her is a better idea than giving it to somebody else...

Nowi and A!Tiki will both get a lot of mileage out of steady breath + aether. There are very few units that neither of them can handle.

If your main goal is a F2P-friendly unit for arena scoring, either of those will do well, with Nowi being slightly ahead. There are some medium-investment F2P builds that might score a little better and/or make it a little easier for your bonus unit to get kills (M!Corrin comes to mind) but none in that score range that are quite so effective in combat.

If you're seeing a lot of Surtr and think he might find a permanent place on defense teams after his bonus expires, A!Tiki can handle just about any build he could possibly wield with ease.

Mmm, if you're uncertain then wait. It's always best to keep the resources when you're not sure you'll be happy with the result.

If Nowi's your fav character then sure go for it. Otherwise, wait until you have a favorite unit you want to really make shine.

Among my dragons, Nowi has the lowest investment so far yet utilizes Steady Breath (SB) excellently: 5* (unmerged), LB+Def, SB + QR2 + Aether. She received SB only a few months ago and I utilize her every week in Arena Assault to kill blue units. So yes, she is viable in Dec 2018.

My other dragons:
Fae 5*+10, LB+Def, SB, QR3, Aether, Panic Ploy
FCorrin 5*+10, Many different builds
ATiki 5*+3, LB+Def, WB, QR3, Aether, Atk Smoke

I think FCorrin's speed gives her the opportunity to run many different builds other than an EP one. For example, I ran a tanky build during the latest Grand Conquests and she was used a lot by my friends: Light Breath+Spd, Fortress Def/Res, Renewal, Bonfire, Atk Smoke + Spd Smoke. Yes, she lacks the ability to counter at distance but after smokes and Light Breath buffs, she may reach 52 Atk, 53 Spd, 56 Def, 40 Res. And depending on positioning, these effects may also benefit her teammates. Good stuff.
