Hi, my Hardin is -Spd+Res so he has pretty well rounded stats (36 def and 35 res). I was considering giving him Aether since he’ll deal huge damage pretty often with Bold Fighter and any form of self-sustain is appreciated. Is it a good or bad idea? What other special could work with this one?
I also have a spare Hardin who’s -atk so maybe I’ll merge them? Or Bold Fighter fodder?
Aether is pretty much always a strong choice for tanks, especially Hardin, since he'll have absurd sustain.
I'd personally fodder the other one just because Hardin's Bold Fighter is just such a coveted skill. However, if you really plan to be investing in Hardin a lot in the future and want to see him succeed, then you could merge them.
Aether seems like a great choice on Hardin for the scoring and sustain. If you're not concerned about arena score, I could also recommend Glimmer on him. Bonfire/Ignis and Glacies/Iceberg are good choices as well.
As for your spare Hardin, I recommend saving him as fodder for as long as you can as +1 in two stats seems less valuable to me than having access to that Bold Fighter for another unit. If you save him that way, as well, you can make the decision to merge down the line when you may have access to more Hardin.
