Best A-skill for Escape Route P!Azura?

To safely activate Escape Route, is Distant Counter too risky for Urðr P!Azura?

Against a basic +att boon Deathblow, QP-Moonbow Reinhardt, Neutral P!Azura barely survives with 3 HP.
Don't think about surviving Honed or merged Reinhardt.

I suggest Triangle Adept 2.

Against the same base non-merged +att Deathblow, QP-Moonbow Reinhardt, TA2 P!Azura survives with 17hp-- just low enough to activate Escape Route 3.

Against a +10 merged, +att boon, Honed, DB, QP-Moonbow Reinhardt... TA2 P!Azura survives with 10hp.

Conclusion: TA3 ironically makes P!Azura too tanky to trigger Escape Route vs base-Reinhardt while Distant Counter makes her too risky to safely bait merged/buffed Reinhardts. TA2 is juuuust right.

Thoughts? Distant Defense might be another (albeit more expensive) option but she'll need Rally Res to survive the worst of Reinhardts.

Giving distant counter to a dancer seems really risky if you are not at a high level of merges. You will hardly be able to take many hits, and it's just an expensive investment for a unit that may not be able to take full advantage without being constantly buffed or without merges. If you want to use Escape Route and also take hits decently well, TA 2 works just fine. The biggest threat you'll take on is obviously Reinhardt, and if your maths are correct then TA 2 is a good option to not risk dying and also be able to bait Rein, which is always valuable.

Also, may I ask why are you fixed on using Escape Route? I think Wings of Mercy has better synergy with her, especially because you are not forced to take a specific amount of damage, so you can just run TA 3 and have an easier time tanking and then killing in Player Phase.

Theorycrafting fun. Wings of Mercy is perfectly suitable too.

The reason I was interested in Escape Route for P!Azura is that utility it provides her against common Arena meta-Reinhardts. Bait Reinhardt, counter-kill, proceed to warp all over the place with Escape Route+dance support as the enemy team unknowingly activated a very powerful dancer to destroy them.

Slightly different tradeoff than Wings of Mercy because Escape-Route P!Azura would be able to warp to a higher hp-ally where WoM could not.

I was thinking about this strat for Gronnraven P!Inigo as well.

Practically speaking of course, you're right that this requires merges, and too expensive for normal applications and realistic Skill Inheritance.

Keep in mind that against a +10 Reinhardt with +atk nature, deathblow 3, QP, moonbow, and hone cavalry, a +10 P!Azura with neutral res, neutral hp, and distant defense seal will survive with 1 hp left. This will enable her to run DC as A-slot to kill Reinhardt.

Of course, the condition is too strict, not to mention that most Reinhardt(s) are +10 while most P!Azura won't be. So, TA is her best A-slot in most cases. However, if one wants to use her to kill Reinhardt while providing dance utility, Emerald Axe is another option.

Yea, the main reason I was calculating this is to find out if P!Azura can somehow realistically provide dance-utility, keep her unique weapon, AND bait-kill Reinhardt all-in-one ... but the absolute bare minimum conditions is brutal.

Emerald Axe lightens the load certainly but it's an unfortunate tradeoff with her weapon's buffs.

If my calculations are correct, a non-merged P!Azura with fortify res and Distant Def seal can at most survive a Honed, QP-Moonbow, +att boon, Reinhardt with only +1 att from merges (+3 merges at most?) ... 1 hp.

If she has Att Ploy seal and manages to debuff Rein, she can actually survive the same conditions against a +2 att from merges -- aka +5 Reinhardt, at most-- with 2 hp.

Scary how close it cuts.

Only fun thing in those conditions is.... Reinhardt activated P!Azura's trap card. Now she can warp all over the place via Escape Route and dance her team away.

Preeetty situational.
