Best Current Close Counter Users

I have a spare Takumi burning a hole in my barracks and I'm debating who to give CC to. I have H!Jakob or the W!Cecelia as my front runners for it but I was wondering if there are any units who tend to use it very well.

I assume you are looking for meta candidates correct? I'd say either is a great choice, though you'll be short on merges for the foreseeable future.

If you're flexible though, there are fun, niche builds for other accessible units that can take hits, and hit back hard, like NY!Corrin, Merric, Kliff or Julius.

Meta is the idea. H!Jakob is +1 with +atk -spd so I'll be actively trying to build him up. I do like the idea of Julius and NY!Corrin. Not a huge fan of Merric and I wasn't able to get Kliff. I use W!Tharja and I'm just looking for something different to toss into the mix

If you have +atk on H.Jakob I recommend bold fighter. Brave bow is really powerful with.

Here's an option that people often don't mention. Might not be so meta unless you buff his defenses further, but I would expect it to perform well in PvE

Halloween Henry is actually pretty damn good. Slap an owl tome with CC and he can tank decently well.

Although I would still recommend Halloween Jakob with CC ONLY IF YOU DON'T HAVE bold fighter/ death blow 3, since that combo was so stupid it wrecked havoc.

Do note their immense rarity: Halloween Jakob may very likely be out of meta when you get him to +10 (or the game may have shut down), and you'd need like 6 months of aether raids to fully finish winter Cecilia.

I do have a H!Henry as well but he is +Res -Def so his IVs aren't optimal for CC but maybe he would work with the defense refined owl tome and armor buffs/wards

-TBH any armor range unit. Any armor range unit can use it well

I've got a H! Jakob with -Atk and + Spd and still haven't figure out how to get him to work well XD Just getting him to lvl 40 back when he was originally released was a challenge cause he couldn't kill much.

I do need Vengeful Fighter fodder for him though, that would help a lot.

My first copy was the same IV spread and then I got lucky and pulled the +atk -spd. I gave him the brave bow anyway and he functioned well enough. Armor buffs are a must though

There's also Henry, Boey, Leon, Sophia, Jaffar, Saizo, Matthew, NY! Corrin, Azama, and Sakura that come to mind. But Gordin is my favorite
