Best Arena Defense team?

I'm currently using B!Cordelia, B!Roy, Reinhardt(+atk DB3), and PA! Azura, but it seems like I either don't win much, or no one attacks me. What type of teams would give me more defensive wins?

Well, it seems like a lot of people use Dragon Emblem as their defense team. There's not really all that much that can reliably defeat them since everyone gives each Dragon member Lightning Breath+.

If you're trying to get the best Arena Defense, then Dragon Emblem is probably your best bet, along with everyone else's.

the problem with that team is most of them are glass cannons which makes it super easy to kill on the player phase, also i've learned having traps like WOM on random units will help get unexpected kills which makes people forfeit also things like guard to prevent them from charging their specials (alo guidance but you don't have any fliers on that team) its not much about having the best units, its just setting traps and hoping people fall for them

But traps aren't always gonna work if you don't have a unit that can actually benefit optimally with it. While Wings of Mercy can help, having it on 'random units' is probably not the way to go. It's probably best to have units that's proficient in both defense and resistance, and/or has something like Distant Counter.

Berkut's Lance Donnel with Distant Counter, Vantage/Quick Riposte, and Distant Defense seal is a good unit to use. Has decent defense, good res (thanks to Berkut's Lance and DD) and can deal some decent damage.

Dragon Emblem - Refined Lightning Breath+ and has some good defense/resistance. Not to mention even more defense thanks to Fortify Dragons.

Armor Emblem - Pretty high defense and/or resistance (W!Tharja for instance), not to mention offensively, they pack quite a punch.

While traps can help, the 'best' bet is to get optimal units. Units that aren't glass canon and can be killed in one hit. Gotta remember that the AI in this game is definitely not the best when it comes to handling units and skills. You might have your Blade Tome user next to your Hone/Fortify units, but in the hands of the AI, your Blade Tome user will be clear across the map, away from your buffers. Gotta think about how the AI would handle the units.

WoM on high powered units can be devasting, ever had a unit like Hector or a brave sword user teleport besides your unit and slay them? It’s nightmarish.

Anyway, I agree that your units are all player phase units or have relatively low defenses. I’d go for units that are strong on defence/enemy phase - brave ike, winter tharja, Sigurd, distant counter users - not sure who you have but these units can be a real handful to fight against.
Dancers are only threatening on defence teams if you have a team around them that can benefit from them.

Every one is having a Reinhardt counter on their teams these days, so I would recommend not using him. Use at least 2 armors if you have them. High attack armors should have Wings of Mercy or Vantage, high defense ones should have stuff like Renewal 3, Lunge, Wary Fighter, QR, or Vantage.

Best arena defense team is still armor. W.lissa, sheena, w.tharja, effie. That group checKS everything and buff each other up well. Sheena and w.lissa pretty much checks all colorless, greens, blues, and almost half reds.

Nvm I read post wrong. I thought it meant winning through dEdens I've play instead of defense team.

I'd say you don't get defence wins because of the Reinhardt, other horse (hone cab), and dancer combo. I can honestly tell you if I faced your team I would try to win even if I lost 3/4 of my units in the match as I don't give a defence team with horse emblem/Reinhardt+brave Lyn/horse+dancer a free win and then forfeit to the next team I face.

Don't know. With Flying Azura, people seem to be getting screwed with unpredictable patterns so it should be a good def week. My team got 20+ defense with 3/4 green team so it's a shame only 10 can be recorded at once.

I guess people gotten use to the usual glass cannon heroes that you need to switch it up. We've all played a lot of arena so more or less all of us knows what screws us up.

Mine is the anti-buffing group. Hector has ploy on which makes Horn and Fortify squad hard to move in their usual formation, added bonus is Bold Fighter which prevented his most common counter of letting him attack first. Jaffar can apply -7 atk/spd/def/res to surrounding target which prevented group up, and safely poke most of the units with less than 42 speed so only counter dragons, staff, and speedy counter were a threat and even then they would lose 10 HP at least thanks to his chipping power. Gunnthrá is basically Nino on a horse that if she attacks anyone debuffed fully by Jaffar she gets a bonus attack of 14-35 (-res counts as double). Not to mention she cast -6 atk/spd to the person with lowest def at start so if their glass cannon aren't merge enough they can't take my units out. Add the usual Flying Azura with Guide and Wing of Mercy. You get a hard and unpredictable team.
