Best AoE Special

I'm looking at building my Ophelia and I'm going for the immediate special build. Which AoE special is considered the best in terms of blast shape? Also do you go with the version with more range or more power?

I tend to think Blazing/Growing Wind have the best shape but I'm often wrong. She'd recommended with Blazing Light but whenever I've used that on other units it never seems to hit anything but the target.

Wind has the best spread IMO. Most units want to clump together anyway with all that rallying and stuff. Wind hits the more standard formation instead of weird ones like light.

I prefer growing thunder over everything else. Growing light can work well too.

For my own dumb reasons, I would always pick the most fitting one.

Light for Ophelia
Wind for Lewyn
ect.

I felt anything that isn't fire or thunder for Effie to be innapropriate. lol

There is no real "best" special, each of them is situational and will be better in certain situations while others work better in different ones. Even if you decide to switch it out, you will probably still find yourself in enough situations where you think "man, Blazing Light would have hit better here I should not have switched" is what I think.

What you could do is having Ophelia learn every AoE Special in the game and save a set for each one and then change before every map you use her with, or just change for specific reasons like beating that 1 GHB map. Seems not very cost-efficient, but most AoE special units dont have any better use, anyway...

I personally prefer the 1,5x damage ones over the area effect. Reason for that being the average map features only 4-5 enemy units and they are more often together than spread afar, so the small area can already hit everything most of the time. What's more, I found IF there arent a ton of enemies around, then the damage of the area AoEs is rather miniscule for a special with 4 cooldown, the damage boosted ones hit like Astra so it's more than justified. But this may also depend on the unit and what you are going for, a supporting dancer with low atk might prefer a different special than a 1shot build Lilina, and stuff like that. Those are my thoughts.

I use Lewyn with wind, and many times i wish I had light. although I assume if I used light I would wish I to had wind on many ocasions ;) Both are good. Like Sir of Coffee, I would use wind on Lewyn, and Ligth on Ophelia.

In my opinion thunder is better than fire, because maps (and enemies positioning) are mostly vertical.
Also Blazing (with 1,5 power) are superior in one shot builds.
