In the beginning...

So out of all of you here right now, how many here have played since the beginning of Fire Emblem Heroes?
If you aren't, please state when you started playing and how was your experience now compared to when you first started playing.

I was pretty skeptical of FEH I tried it once when it came out but didnt believe a 4 unit team would be entertaining as classic FE with the large map and roster so I played once and quit.
I came back around CYL 1 and been pretty hooked since then I usually don't play mobile games but I like building unit up and often new units are added into the game!
#hype for fe 16 though

I have been playing consistently since it came out, yeah. It's been a pretty fun ride!

I was set to be notified as soon as it came out, and downloaded it immediately. Great time, honestly. I still have some screenshots from back then

I still remember changing the auto favorite setting off for four stars and saying, "I don't know why I'm doing this, it's not like I'm ever going to have enough five stars for it to matter anyway"
Oh how things change...

Started to play after about a week or so since launch. I thought it wouldn't be as entertaining or fun as the main games but I decided to try it since I was bored. After that, I've been playing it every day...

I couldn’t play at launch bc i didn’t have a capable phone then, but around Mid April (Alm’s banner) i got an upgrade and started playing. I’ve definitely become much less stupid than when i was a beginner; keen on datamines and the biggest threats in arena

Started in August/September ( or during the Black Knight TT). First thing I did was grind that TT for BK. Without a bonus unit. And it was about halfway done. Not the best start( Though I'm glad I did). Also didn't now about much of anything. Nowdays, everythings a lot easier. Mostly because I know a lot of this stuff.

Started in October right at the start of the Performing Arts banner. Things are much easier now that I know what I'm doing. I remember very clearly that I sent home the second PA!Olivia I pulled since I didn't yet understand merging or SI. Luckily my first one had good ivs, but I will never forget that distant defense I let go to waste.

I've been playing since launch. Up until this point, I have played Fire Emblem games before this one and didn't know how much I would enjoy it (played FE7 and 13-15, but I am planning on playing a translated ROM of FE6, and am trying to find a physical copy of FE9-10 and 11). Up until this point in time, this game is pretty good as a mobile game--at least, I highly enjoy it and play it every day!

I love the unit collection and building aspect of the game, which is quite similar to that of mainline Pokemon. (If only Pokemon Go were more like FEH...) But all the different modes and updates that IS has added are all great, in my opinion, and I enjoy being able to use all of the units that I have built up. This game (across consoles, PC, and mobile) is probably the one that I play the most during my free time, at least until the new Pokemon / Smash games come out later this year, and the new Fire Emblem game next year.

That's what I heard, too! But it's been so long since I last played that even trading won't win me over. (Even then, I'm pretty sure the process is super tedious to avoid exploits in the system.)

Started day it came out. I'll hand it to IS, for all the flak we give them, they're really smart when you look at what they've done since the beginning. Weapon refinery, sacred seals, letting us dust off our old characters from the beginning with new upgrades, new events (rival domain!), not letting too many new characters out.

The main downsides I see is the power creep seems a little excessive (sure, you need some to keep the whales whaling), and recreation of the same characters (hello, Lyn, Lyn, Lyn, Lyn, and Lyn).

But yeah, I'm still loving it as much as day one.

I was refreshing the app store constantly the day it came out, so I’ve been around since day one and have been playing consistently since! There have been a LOT of improvements since the start, so it’s been pretty enjoyable. I remember using Nino a ton since she used to be one of the best units in the game. XD Laslow has always been a main member of my team, though.

I keep up on my knowledge of the meta but don’t care about it that much. I get along just fine.

Oh I've been here since day 1. At first I simply played it like I would any other FE at the beginning (didn't care for strategy, as it normally comes naturally) and it was confusing at first (the whole no skill inheritance) so I was kinda sad with the game but once it go SI I was happy. After that the game got better, but my second meeting with a gacha game however was kinder, as FGO had mistreated me with it's 1 percent pull rate. Overall, pretty good

Waited until the second day to dive in. Had an alright start, but still remember going for Ninian and settling for a Priscilla (still have her, and eventually did get a Ninian off focus) in the Blazing Shadows banner. Of course, the real gateway for serious summons came with the first proper Tellian banner, as my first FE game was Radiant Dawn. Thankfully I got who I wanted almost immediately. XD

Now, I'm at the point where I got plenty of viable units, so I have been able to hoard orbs more easily.

I still remember the dark times. More than 50% chance of obtaining a 3*, and there were a very small number of them...

I was a part of the beginning for a while until I deleted it, i didn't have to much except for a Takumi and a bunch of four stars. I came back around the time the Halloween banner came out, I was willing to give it one more shot, then it goes from there with a lucky pull of H!Nowi.

I think I started a week or so after it came out but I don't remember. I just know I didn't know it existed and thought everything that came out about ti was really for fe warriors so when my friends in school made me join the app I got hooked.

I remember being rly excited and waiting for the game, checking the playstore every few minutes or so the day it was released. THEN I FOUND OUT I COULDNT DOWNLOAD IT cause it wasnt available in my country for some unfathomable reason. I was pissed. It only came to the playstore late last year for me. I think it was right before the christmas banner. Im still kinda salty abt that tbh

I downloaded it pretty soon after it came out.

I had suffered from a mild case of PAD addiction not long before... Or at least something similar to it. It was actually affecting my life in a pretty negative way. I felt compelled to keep grinding long past the point when it was fun and it was seriously affecting my studies. So when I downloaded Heroes and saw the energy bar at the top and the gatcha and stuff I said: Nope, not going through it again.

About two months ago I saw some youtuber talking about this game and it actually seemed fun, so I decided to give it a second chance. I was surprised to find that beyond the gacha there was a pretty deep strategy game... Also, the amount of energy restoration items that IS gives away is large enough that I feel free to just "waste" those energy points and enjoy the game at my own pace.

I've been playing since the last time that "Nowi and Tiki's battle" was available, and it has been a fun ride so far.

I was also set to receive a notification when the game came out and was super excited because I really wanted Robin > w <;; I kept trying for him until I got a 5* (and got a Leo as well), but didn't know anything about IVs at the time and he was -atk (and sadly I have yet to pull a +atk to this day and they have all been -atk...rip). I did take a break during after the PA banner and came back during winter. Unfortunately I don't have any old notable screenies other than summons, but I saved a screenie of my first CYL ♥
