bad ayra and mia

so i somehow managed to pull both ayra and mia and i also somehow managed to get them both with +HP/-Spd so they're probably going to end up as fodder. Who are good candidates for Swift Sparrow and Flashing Blade?

for flashing blade i was thinking of ishtar but she already comes with swift sparrow and it feels like a waste not to use it.. also i dont have ishtar.

for flashing blade, i'm hoping for more budget/cheap units maybe instead of really valuable units that are 5* exclusive

No such thing.

Mia still reaches 51 Atk *before* a proper A-slot (meaning something like L&D or Fury, since she won't be using Flash Blade). That's 56 Atk with L&D & 60-62 with an Hone or Atk Tactic, which is pretty ridiculous that she can kill a lot of characters in two hits, and likely put down even most Blues with a good special to go with it.

Ayra still ends up in the same Spd tier thanks to her weapon's effect, and you can still add +3 Spd to make it even better. That's 53 Atk/44 Spd as it is, and it's before Hones. And she still has a unique special.

I disagree. -Spd is absolutely worthless considering there are heroes with up to 50 spd in tier 20

And yet, said heroes tend to be the actual speedsters rather than 90% of the units involved. Why do people generalise Spd like that? You can also reach that with an Hone and a Drive.

Same goes for tiers. "Tier 20" could mean anything when you're barely reaching 700 and switching between T19 and then the significant jump to 715+. People ought to start talking in terms of scoring, since I've even seen lower tier kids score around as much.

Holy mackerel! Every time I see your post about someone's unit with sub-optimal banes is like looking at a death sentence. If spd was everything, then I shouldn't be seeing armors and dragons in arena. But they swarm the place like Sparta so obviously there are other ways to deal with "speedsters".

I call them "speedsters" when people refer to the actual outliers in that category, rather than 90% of the cast, like people seem to exaggerate when it comes to Spd.

I still ocassionally see Nowis barely hitting 30 Spd *with merges*. They'd rather sacrifice that over things like Def/Res and even extra HP and Atk, all of which matter more for tanking.

Don't fodder two top-tier 5* exclusive heroes just because they have poor IVs. They still each have 37 speed, and that number can be easily increased through buffs and skills. Even if you don't choose to use them in the arena (you can get units that score a lot better than unmerged Ayra and Mia anyway) it's still nice to have a few spare aces in your roster for other game modes.

I think they both merit keeping to merge into a better IV one later, If you are free to play i understand wanting to fodder skill, but those are both top tier swords that I would want to work toward +10
