I'm using Tharja's base kit with Swordbreaker 3, as this website suggests in its "optimal" build, and honestly, she's really good. Oftentimes I feel like Desperation 3 would have a better use on her when she has low health (against Hector especially). Is swordbreaker the most optimal B skill, or would desperation be more effective on her?
She is literally just a red Nino with slightly inferior speed and damage. The swordbreaker is only on there to one round kill faster sword lords like ryouma and Lucina and shit without buff assistance or dying but in all honestly she very much should be running Desperation like any properly built speed boon blade mage
Life and Death 3 or Darting Blow 3 neutralize any use for Swordbreaker, so she is a lot better off with Desperation
Reason being, +spd Tharja has 37 spd, she can reach 42 and 43 with LAD 3 and Darting Blow 3 respectively, and will get even further with Hone Spd 3 (off it will also increase her atk)
Sure she's a beast with Swordbreaker, but she can be a greater beast with desperation on low health
I can safely confirm this, as mine is +spd too ;)
