Ayra or Zelgius?

I have a 40+10 Zelgius and 40+10 Ayra, which one is better? My Zelgius has 53/61(45 base)/42/37/17 stats and my Ayra has 45/56(40 base)47/35/22 stats. In terms of Spd and Res, Ayra is better but Zelgius is a better tank with higher Atk but less mobility, both are top tier sword units and I really cannot choose, Zelgius has built in Diatant counter and I gave my Ayra distant counter.

I say use both, sometimes that black luna is needed while sometimes reg. astra is needed. Plus Zelgius can use bold or vengeance fighter while ayra can use wrath well and since you gave ayra DC, both seems like overkill but will be fun to have the 2 in a team

I already have NY Azura, Brave Lyn and Corrin (F). So my team is fairly mixed. Brave Lyn and NY Azura are Pphase while Zelgius and Corrin (F) is most definately Ephase, Ayra is both actually.. I could make another team but which one do you recommend I replace with Ayra or Zelgius?

Zelgius is better for enemy phase usually, while Ayra is usually better for player phase. So it really just depends on how you want to play.

My team is actually focused on both: Zelgius/Ayra, Brave Lyn, NY Azura and Corrin (F). Usually Brave Lyn nukes the enemy mages and sometimes dagger units with Poison daggers, and NY Azura backs her up for another move to nuke another one, while Corrin (F) and Zelgius tank the enemy bow and physical weapon users and return with another KO. Ayra could be used as both due to her solid Def stat (for a Pphase unit at least) and her extreme SPD.

Give Zelgius Bold Fighter and he's a destroyer.

Also, holy frick! +10 of both? Are you rich, or are you just damn lucky?

I would day that you use both, but out of preferance I would go woth your Ayra. She may have less Atk, Def and HP, but firstly the differences in Def as well as Atk (debatable) are failry small and secondly she has more Res which gives her a higher potential with DC than Zelgius. If you want it balanced so that both Def and Res should be less of a problem, then I'd pick Ayra.

They both play differently so it's hard to say one over the other with certainty... Personally I'd lean towards Zelgius since he scores higher, assuming you have Steady Breath and Bold Fighter.

A Dual Phase Zelgius (steady breath+bold fighter+Quick Riposte) with the means to overcome the lack of his mobility outclasses Ayra. but his efectiveness relies on teammates that can help him overcome this lack of mobility.

You would seem to have missed the point on reading the answers already here. As some people have pointed out, Ayra is a player-phase unit while Zelg is an enemy-phase unit. This means how you play the unit, not the team.

Since the rest of your team consists of a dancer, tank, and attacker, I would say to use Ayra.

Even though she is player-phase, since you gave her DC she turns into a viable enemy-phase unit. (there is a reason game-press ranks Ayra higher than Zelg after all!). Meaning you would a mixed-phased unit, attacker, tank, and dancer.

However, Zelg would give you access to tactic skills, so there is also that.
