Automatic Junk Units

We've had a few threads on here about what units stalk you (always seem to show up in your summons), but I thought I'd put a little spin on it. I have several characters that show up all the time that I actually consider kind of useful and don't immediately send home right away. Units like Hinata, Shanna, Subaki, Odin, Celica, Gunter, and Niles show up all the time, and I usually keep them.

But what are some units you get all the time that are so practically useless, you just send them home as soon as you get them to free up space? They don't have many useful skills, so it just seems like a waste to have them around. Mine would have to be Arthur, Beruka, Oboro, and any 3-4 star healer that isn't Lissa (for Renewal) and Wrys (for Live to Serve)

Answers

Nino's son (forgot how you spell his name so I'll just say Ray), Bartre, Eliwood, Est, Caeda since I don't have flying mages and run full goad, Arthur, Ogma, Seliph, and healers sans Wrys (even Renewal 2 doesn't interest me since green is usually a great color to pull on, so I get way more Faes than I need).

On the topic of Eliwood & Est, I know they're pretty decent 4*+10 budget investments, but I just have much better red cavalry & blue fliers, so I'll never have the time or necessity for that investment.

Funny how you can have units like that, and STACKED fodder units like Klein (Brave Bow, Deathblow AND Quick Riposte), Palla (Moonbow & Goad Fliers), Odin (Blárblade, Moonbow, R Tomebreaker) in the same game. I legit crie eveytiem I have to sacrifice Klein, since I wish you could just take him apart and sacrifice his glorious skills separately.

God, I feel u on that one. I'm in physical pain every time I have to give up a Klein, especially since it took me so long to get him (I got my first 4 starred one about a month ago and I've wanted him ever since he was released.

I wish I was blessed enough to have a lot of Faes, tho. I think I've only ever gotten like... four. And considering the amount of pulls I do for special units, that's really kind of astounding.

They are all fine but people hate their art style so they don't use them at all calling them trash units.

Who are you talking about? Me? I hate very few art styles in this game, and especially not for any of the ones I mentioned? I literally just can't keep them all. Especially when I'm doing several summons to try to get a particular unit I want (AXURA PLEASE COME HOME).

I have very few automatic trash units. Beruka is one, 3* healers and dagger users are probably the primary others.

Oboro can actually be a pretty useful tank if built as a 4* merge. Not ever going to be a meta unit in the arena, but useful in arena assault and similar modes.

Now that you mention it, Oboro actually has an extremely similar statline to Lukas but just a bit less specialized/more well rounded, and he's become a close range GOD following the introduction of Steady Breath. I won't pretend it's not expensive, but she can probably be incredible if built like his "Blue B!Ike" set:

Yeah, it is expensive, so even though she does have promise, I just don't have interest in building her more. Especially since I have Lukas and Effie that were already 5 stars.

Oh yeah, there are certainly better infantry lancers out there, including Lukas, Neph, Ephraim, BLucina, possibly Sharena as well. I was more thinking in the case someone has pure favoritism for her (was their birthright waifu, etc etc), but pretty much any unit with any bulk whatsoever is redeemable with that whale build, or Wrath instead, etc.
