Auto battle not working

In the Tempest trial, on the map with two bridges from Binding Blade my units randomly decided not to move. I left it on auto-battle and picked it up and it said it was on turn 200 :/

This happens if two or more units want to move past each other, but can't because they are waiting for the other to move.
