As I've been using Josh I've been noticing his short comings more. While his statline is great it still has it's holes. Lack of IVs and the absolutely titanic amount of sword competition makes it even harder to excel any which way. On top of that while his weapon is fine, a single stat buff and a slaying effect doesn't really cut it nowadays. So I have two simple ideas that help solve an issue and still adhere to his playstyle:
First is a simple Wo Dao effect. Josh's atk is on the lower side, and as we've seen from Karel, combining both Slaying and Wo Dao effects makes for some lovely kill potential. Plus he comes with Moonbow by default and he can utilize ploys to make his offensive potential soar. Also he can combine it with DC and Wrath to potentially give Ayra a run for her money.
Second idea is a flat +2 to all stats (except Res and HP for obvious reasons). So with Fury he then has 52 Atk, 40 Spd, 35 Def, and 38 Res. Basically he just becomes a little better at his flexible role and the lack of IVs hardly matters since all of his stats become pretty amazing. However, since IntSys seems to not want to just give a flat stat increase, instead opting for a gimmicky combat buff that relates to canon, it can more realistically go like this; +3 to all stats in combat if an Infantry Stave is within 2 spaces. This of course being a reference to his connection with Natasha (who should be added btw IntSys). Sadly inconsistent and gimmicky and will not result in a high raise up the tiers similar to Lloyd, but it's an improvement and frankly Josh likes the general stat buff more than him
