-ATK/+DEF Gordin and -SPD/+HP Nino

So, while summoning on the summer banner (I've got S!Tiki and Minerva at this point) I pulled Gordin and Nino for the first time. I'm F2P, so I don't expect to get them again soon. Is there some way to make them usable? maybe I can give Darting Blow 3 to Nino so she reaches 43 SPD on player phase as I have a 5* Eirika with Hone Spd 3. I'm not sure about Gordin though.

+def is pretty nice on Gordin, bringing him to 35 defence maxed so that bonfire procs do 17 extra damage. However, that -atk bane is really crippling and will have him dealing a lot of 2x0s with a pathetic 35 attack with brave bow+ equiped unless you switch out his weapon. This Gordin is just not worth using unless you are willing to invest a lot of si into him where you are better off using the units you are going to inherit onto him anyways.
Gordin is not that rare if you are not scared to wander into colorless since he's available at 3*/4*. Neither is Nino according to most people's experiences.
Can't exactly vouch for that though since I've only pulled one nino and 3 gordins in my 3 months of playing.

Those are pretty crippling IVs, to be honest. It might be better to save those two for skill inheritance - Gordin can pass vantage off to a better unit and Nino has that drawback and a blade tome to pass on.
