Im kind of at a crossroads with her, and simply put which would be more beneficial in the long run? Is the 3 spd that much more crucial than atk or vise versa? Like to hear someone elses thoughts on it. Also im in the same boat with Sonya. Thanks in advance.
For Tharja, I would argue Speed. She is a Blade Tome user, which means, with proper support, she will reach sky-high attack values (talking 60+ without breaking a sweat). With Desperation, speed would allow you to double a few more units without getting retaliated. For instance, +speed Tharja can ORKO neutral speed Linde if she is in Desperation range (you would need +4Att/Spd for that, which is common in blade teams).
For any Blade Tome user, +Spd is very crucial. When buffed normally, they can gain a potential 16 (with Erika/Ephraim) to 20 (fully buffed) damage per hit, which is a potential 60-75 damage for infantry Blade Tome users.
In a situation like this, more attack is going to be very insignificant while speed has the potential to double that number. This is more so when you have Emblem Blade Tome user who can easily gain 30 damage per hit.
