I pulled one of my favorite characters not too long ago and decided to build him up. He's on the bench right now though, because I'm feeling conflicted. His stats are pretty great aside from attack, and if I invest in maxing out the Attack+ Sacred Seal, he'll have 48 attack plus the 1-2 from his support and whatever other buffs/spurs he has slapped onto him. Is 48 alright, if I'm aiming for T20 arena? I'm in T17 at the moment and it's not too scary, but...
Well... I build Saber more as a tank than a nuke. I pulled +Def -Res prompting me to slap Def+3, Quick Riposte, and Ignis on him for maximum enemy phase potential. I dont know how well you could run him as an attacker though. In my experience, hes better off as a enemy phase tank where he can take a hit or two and then fire off Ignis or wait till next turn to slap the enemy with massive amounts of damage.
Yeah, I'd say he is pretty viable, although +Spd, -Res would be prefered. His atk/spd stats are quite enough to take on most squishies and his defense will let him survive long fights long enough to trigger Bonfire 1st, thanks to Slaying Edge. So he is viable.
I would even recommend to use a Spd+3 sacred seal instead, it would improve his key match-ups quite heavily.
