Is +Atk/-Def Gordin worth raising to 5* ?

Currently really low on archers. Only two 5* (NY!Corrin and Rebecca, believe it or not), mainly because I rarely pull on colorless stones, even in legendary banners. I know the attack boon can improve his Brave Bow usage and his defense can be patched up with a refine, but is he worth it ? How is he compared to Fallen Takumi ?

They fill in different roles so its not really that proper to compare the two with completely different statlines. Since you probably have as they say better archers, you probably wanna wait on a +atk/-spd or -res instead to avoid killing his physical bulk.

I could always do that, since he is relatively common. But how about a neutral one ? I think I have a -Spd one laying around. Is +Atk really necessary to make him good ?

That depends if you're keeping his Brave Bow+ which obviously desires +atk since that translates to +6 damage. Neutral is fine if you plan to go for a more expensive approach which is going for Slaying bow+ with Close counter to take advantage of his physical bulk.

I do have a 4* Leon I could upgrade for that. Foddering off my only W!Tharja for Gordin is out of the question, though. For now I think it will be better to wait for optimal IVs if I really want to use him. Thanks for the suggestion anyway.

Honestly, Gordin is a good unit... for a 4* unless you heavily invest into him he isn't all that much. Fallen Takumi on the other hand can help in GHB/Event Maps and etc with his Leg Weapon along with him having pretty decent speed and attack for an archer. I mean slap on LnD 3 and he hits 42 spd with 50 attack. So Fallen Takumi is a better investment in my opinion.

Now if you want to upgrade gordin and save his Brave Bow+ for another archer like B!Lyn, H!Jakob, or LA Roy then he'd be okay until you find someone to better have his weapon.

Then Takumi is definitely going on my list of units I want to upgrade. He certainly has a lot going on for him, even if he's a free unit. As for Gordin, I'm interested in the properties of Brave Bow, and since he seems to be a decent enough user, I may use him until I get someone better.
