In my opinion art can really ruin a character for me. Eliwood, Zephiel, Raven, Hector and now Lloyd all have terrible or subpar art that makes it hard for me to want to use them at all, regardless of how good they may be gameplay wise.

I'm curious to know if anyone thinks they'll ever introduce addition art for characters that we can choose from, or if IS will simply just listen to the fans and have the art just outright changed.

Uh, I don't really see how Hector and Raven have bad art. If anything, the artist is probably the more experienced and popular out of the bunch. Zephiel, I can understand, he is drawn in an old style, probably not even drawn in digital.

Their art isn't bad per se, but I feel it doesn't fit with the normal FE art style, and it really sticks out among everyone else's. But again, that is just my opinion.

I agree with you when you say that Eliwood and Zephiel have bad artwork, but I like the artwork for Raven, Hector, and Lloyd. I think the art style for Hector really fits his character, and the only problem I have with Lloyd's artwork is his facial expression. He looks a bit too menacing in my opinion.

I'll give you that for Lloyd. If you take his face out of the equation, his art is perfectly fine. Sadly the face is there, and it is really killing him for me.

The only bad art I really hate is Eliwood and Lloyd, Eliwood's eyes are too big and are creepy to look at while Lloyd's art was ruined because of how his face looks, again he looks like someone sucked the life out of him and turned him into a ghost.

Eliwood seems to be a consensus here haha. It's such a shame because he's such a cool character otherwise.

Eliwood and Lloyd have horrible art, I would add Cordelia, Raigh, Arthur and Odin to the bad art list. Zephiel is ok, I like the traditional feeling, like Gunters art.

I loved Hector's artwork (and AKIRA's artworks in general for this game) so much that I considered whaling for orbs just to pull him (bless the Heroes Fest banner)... although the general consensus seems to be more of a love it or hate it kind of thing.

Eliwood and Lloyd really got the short end of the stick though, especially considering how good their arts from the Blazing Blade were.

Zephiel's a bit of a weird case for me because I love his standard and damaged artwork, but in contrast really not fond of his combat/special art that borderline look like a completely different character.

I like the art that looks like the original. I think the artists for Titania, Lyn, Beruka, Felicia, Kagaro, etc. were really successful in this regard. Also, I like the art for Peri and Oboro better in Heroes. That being said, here's my list of art that makes me cry a little inside:

Eliwood (I think it's the eyes)
Lissa (she looks like an ant...)
Jakob (Just like... not him)
Olivia (to an extent)
Odin (my beloved Odin got the shaft all around in heroes)
Rebecca (to an extent... it's the eyes)

I don't like these guys because they don't look like they belong in this game. The others have a somewhat cohesive style that makes it believable that they all exist in the same world, so these guys really stick out like sore thumbs.

I don't even see them as characters because of it. Just like, paper dolls or... comic books or... just not people.
