Armour Emblem Composition

I've got a pretty solid armour team coming along but I'm struggling on c-slots and movement skills.

I'm currently running BKnight/Effie/Hector with Hone/Fortify/Goad respectively. They are all using pivot.

I'm wondering if particular armour units are more suited to running one support/movement skill over another, and if so, which ones should I go with?

Any input would be appreciated.

Unlike other unit types, there are no armour mages, so no unit needs Hone/Fortify particularly over the other skills (no need to fuel a Bladetome). At most, maybe you want your non DC unit to have the Fortify skill, so your DC units become more effective at bating without taking too much damage, which you are already doing.

What other armour unit do you plan to fill your 4th slot with? The biggest drawback of armour units is their poor mobility, so having Armor March in your 4th slot can help a ton. Other than that, your skill distribution already seems good enough.

I've been running Brave Lucina as opposed to another armour unit. I've read that some people use a bulky res healer like Wrys in their last slot too, but I dunno. I'd love armour march but Amelia is the only armour unit I don't have unfortunately.

If you are a Distant Counter Squad (only Effie is missing it). Swap is preferred over Pivot so you can insure a better match up with red, green, and blue unit when you want to position yourself. But you will be slow.

Of course with the introduction of Armor March a lot of this is solved but taking up a C slot is not ideal IMO. Having 4 armor with ward or goad armor insures a total of +24 stats in Atk/Spd or Def/Res which can not be affected by panic for each unit. that is huge. Since Goad is locked behind Hector, most people stick with ward Armor from Draug which makes Bon Fire counters quite deadly.

Yeah, I've often-times been unable to get into attack range with pivot, and reposition seems to separate the armour units too much, methinks.

That's a really good point! I never thought about them being immune to panic with wards/goads.
