Armored Tome user in the works?

I would REALLY like to see a ranged armor unit. Tome, Bow & Staff user. All would be great additions.
Also a flier with a staff.
How come horse emblem gets EVERYTHING?

armor unit has the best BST... For the love of this little game... better not have ranged armored unit.

I don't remember encountering an armored unit with a tome/staff in any of the Fire Emblem titles. (Edit: I'm wrong - as noted by SharpEyLogic below there was Arvis in FE4.) But there have been several Generals with Bows. I wouldn't mind it - I don't think it would unbalance things, just make armored units without distant counter more viable. Hopefully this is on the way along with mounted archers and a flying healer.

Actually...I wouldn't mind seeing some of the ranged melee weapons from the games - like the javelin or throwing axe - make an appearance. It would really mix things up to be able to inherit a ranged weapon (with a penalty like -5 speed) to a melee unit.

The closest we can get to an Armored Mage is Arvis from FE4, since his signature weapon is the legendary fire tome Valflame and he is an Emperor class when fought in the final chapter, which is considered armored

I mean be forgetting something, since i didnt play every FE yet, but i dont think that an armored mage has ever made an appearance.
So no, it wont happen.
Bows, on the other hand, could happen, since theres a precedent.
