Armor Team Worth It?

Just pulled a +Atk -Spd Hector and I was wondering if I should build an armor team. I already have a Zephiel and a +Res -Hp Effie. Should I try to get an Amelia and/or get more hectors for DC fodders.

Are armor teams good, are my characters good?

Thanks

Yu have the ideal iv set for Hector just add Vantage and Either Threaten Defense or an Armor support skill. My special is Sol but a damage special can be used if you prefer like Moonbow or Bonfire instead.

If you have a spare Hector then Zephiel will be absolutely amazing with Bonfire added in and Amelia and her Armor March is what makes Armor Emblem truly broken because trees are 1 space to them and the sudden mobility makes them a much more difficult threat to handle in the arena.

Effie is best as +Atk/-spd with brace lance so I'd say only keep we 4-star til you pull a better one.

Armor Emblem is the heaviest arena team that you can run by nature and will net you a shit ton of points per round per victory and it can be difficult to defeat on defense when you have distant counter on half of them with buffs and such, by to mention most of them have massive hp pools so Panic Ploy will be much less likely to trigger unless an enemy Armor with an HP seal is carrying it.

It's a very expensive team to build (if only because of needing to feed a second Hector to zephiel) but Armor Emblem is very powerful and imo worth it f you can make it

Armor Emblem is amazing but I'm biased since I run it myself and been making it since like launch. The main point of armor emblem is to get that huge arena score and feel nice seeing yourself get to Tier 20. It's worth it although kind of expensive. Also Amelia is a great addition to armor emblem cuz your not super slow anymore and can actually double people. Also nice Hector pull.

Armor Emblem is the most direct F2P path* to the top tiers of the arena. But, in my opinion, it's the hard mode of this game (horse emblem being the easy mode) due to four major challenges. Those being 1) Limited mobility, 2) No Ranged Attacks, 3) Physical Attacks Only, and 4) No Staff Healing.

*Others being saving feathers only for mergers, running trainees, and getting really lucky.

Personally I really enjoy Armor Emblem and like experimenting with it. I think it's really rewarding but it definitely has it's frustrations...like watching a mounted blue mage - Reinhardt - blow apart your Hector.

Amelia completely changes Armor Emblem with her C slot. If you can get her do so as it resolves the Limited Mobility problem. Something to note is that Armor Emblem fares well against the new Brave Heroes due to it's high defense but Distant Counter did get nerfed a bit.

In a nutshell, yes. Here are the main reasons.

1) Your Hector's IV is probably his best one. Fire Emblem God will be mad at you if you don't build an emblem team.

2) Amelia has made armor emblem much more versatile. With Armor March, armor units can traverse 2 spaces (yes, even forests, which is better than infantry units). This means that armor emblem is much more versatile now because they don't necessarily have to rely on the distant counter anymore, and instead can run powerful offensive builds like brave lance+ Effie and brave axe+ Amelia or Hector.

3) You got Hector, Effie, and Zephiel already. All you need is an Amelia to make it work, which seems not too much investment. Your Effie's IV isn't ideal, but you can always merge her to a good IV Effie later on.

4) Blame tome units for cavalry and flier emblems have been seriously nerfed with the arrival of Brave Ike and Brave Lyn. Armor emblem is not affected.

5) Finally, armor emblem can get you high arena scores. With Amelia's Armor March, it has become much more interesting to play.
