I'm trying hard for Hector but I'll have to see how replacing Hardin on my arena core works out. My arena is kind of weird with armor use though, since I use them mostly to tank and provide Tactics buff to Nino.

Currently Hardin is my res tank, and he does a pretty good job of it thank to Ward Armor + res tactic from W!Tharja. Given that a lot of magic threats are red, he's been very useful even if mine is -Atk.

Hector will be much weaker than Hardin at this because of his lower res and considerably less spd. I may have to switch off res tank duty to W!Tharja and use Hector for def tank instead.

It's hard to argue against Hector's offensive potential, so I would really like to see if he outperforms Hardin in my core team.

B.Hector does have issues with his res, but I don't think it's an issue. He has too much HP to lose to blue manaketes because manaketes don't hit as hard, and he can use distant def to cover mages.

Hardin has 28 spd; he will get doubled quite a bit. Hector comes with forced doubles on either phase and his QR is good down to 50% HP. Unless you're afraid someone like another Hector might natural double? He doesn't necessarily want to fight high atk axes. Gwendolyn isn't that aggressive, and Effie's too slow. Someone like Oboro? Probably dumps her spd or inflates it, and I doubt Hector is in trouble either way

He should work out just fine. I'm just trying to think about what I usually use Hardin to tank. Reds like Tikis, Tharja, and SM!Erika ought to be just fine. I'm more concerned about multiple engagements (which Hardin has Brazen Def/Res to help with) though W!Tharja can help in a pinch if needed too.

Nowi I'm not too sure about because you have to push her speed to double Hardin but a neutral one can still double Hector, but like you said his HP should win out here. Also since Nino usually lures a Dire Thunder to get in Desperation range anyway I have her to fall back on (barring Vantage). Same goes for Thani.

Sounds like I should just use my free summon already :D

B.Ephraim is much tankier because he basically has guard 6. Grima is a lot more aggressive with his massive atk stat targeting the lower defensive stat of most characters.

B.Hector I think has significant advantage over Hardin, but Hardin tends to be better in his res. Hector is the aggressive option; Hardin is the more solid option.
