Arena Run Buster
Purpose: This team won't win a lot, but that's not it's purpose. The idea is to set this as my Arena Defense team, and break your perfect Arena run, which means all it needs to do is kill one unit on the opposing team. It also means this team is built to be controlled by the AI.
Four main strategies:
1) Outlast - with a healer, a bit of splash healing, and Miracle for everyone, opposing teams may have to do lethal damage more than once to eliminate our units.
2) Bypass defenses - all units can deal free additional damage or splash damage that can't be prevented, by using things like pain, poison strike and savage blow. I don't care about your crazy high DEF armored units… as long as I can deal at least 1 damage, I'll have a chance to kill one of your units.
3) Ignore counterattacks - Enemy phase builds are very popular and powerful in high tier arenas, partially because it's so easy to bait the AI. In our case, all units have weapons that prevent counterattacking, so the only way to kill is on your player phase (exception: Jaffar vs. non-mage units).
4) Warping - all units have Wings of Mercy, which when combined with everyone's Miracle, makes it more challenging to predict what the AI will do, assuming you've even noticed the WoM is there. On everyone.
I created this experiment because these are four units I just never use for anything else. With the exception of Jaffar, and maybe Mist, there are definitely better, more optimal builds, but these builds are for a very specific role. I know this is a super weird build for Lukas, for example. When choosing units for this, I wanted two high defense and two high res units. The weakest unit here by far is Jaffar, and I'm considering replacing him, but I'll need to find another good mage killer that is not cavalry or armored (Micaiah is too common in T20). Halloween Sakura is a possible replacement, but she can't easily prevent counterattacks, a central theme of this team. Open to suggestions.
What do you think? Stupid idea? I'll be running it this week after I get my Defense bonus.

You are the reason we cannot have nice arena runs.
But please, do this. I don't really care about Arena, I just do a few battles for some feathers and orbs, but I want to see this team break people. As for Nekomata Sakura, Jaffar does a much better job of chip damage, though I'd give him double savage blow and Mist double Breath of Life, seeing as she already has Pain+
Good luck run busting!

The big issue with this team is that high defense WILL work just fine against it still. Lukas is the only unit that has color triangle to worry about, which means anyone facing this team can let one high defense unit shrug off a hit or two, just eat the chip damage since those high defense armors have upwards of 50 health most of the time, and then counterattack to kill some of those units pretty quick before just backing off to let someone else handle it. So long as a green unit is kept alive to handle Lukas the others will die pretty easy. (55 damage from a single caster attack is pretty easy and will one shot M!Corrin, 58 damage physical or magical for Jaffar)
Furthermore WoM is at its most dangerous against enemy phase builds. Typically when initiating player phase players are going to be looking to one shot, where as enemy phase I've seen one unit attack into a bait unit and survive, thus allowing WoM to proc on the same turn and bring in someone to finish the baiter off, denying the enemy counterattack will cost some of that value off of WoM.

Some really good points here, especially regarding WoM on Player Phase. Will have to give that more thought.
None of these units are hard to one shot if planned and positioned properly. But to be honest, that’s how T20 goes these days. I don’t care if you’re F!Robin or Sheena, my best shot at winning is to ORKO you. I just need the right units, and skills to do it. What this team aims to do (perhaps unsuccessfully) is negate the ORKO on your enemy phase builds, and to catch people off guard who might underestimate it because they’re not Tier 1 units.

Yeah a WoM dancer is a great way to be unpredictable in Arena. But not very unique.
And I don’t want normal meta units like Rein or B!Lyn that you already see every other fight. I want to catch people by surprise. If that’s still possible. And trying to make use of units that I would otherwise really never use.

Just about any green mage with TA Raven will eat this team, especially if they're also packing a dancer. Boey especially comes to mind. Even if he can't counter, he can still hit hard, and endure basically everything coming at him. The only one who stands a chance of damaging him outside effect damage is Mist, and so long as someone has the sense to prioritize taking her out the whole thing falls apart.

Yep, mostly true. Although it’s not the weapon damage that kills, it’s the stacking chip damage. Eventually a unit just needs to do one weapon damage to kill.
Also, there’s an answer to everything. I won’t break everyone’s run with any build. If TA Raven is my weakness I’ll take it. (Although there are plenty of other weaknesses as well.)

Assuming one of those units are not a bonus unit, coupled with the fact that you have a healer on your team, I don't think most people with higher bst in general will even encounter your team. I'm not sure how def teams work but as far as I know their bst weight is the main influence for being matched up.
Most enemy phase teams consist of dragons and armors, or high merges, which your team lacks entirely in all departments. It's a fun idea and at the very least you're being original and not just slapping vantage on everyone.
