Is the Arena more balanced now?

As a F2P, I play with unmerged units because I can't afford to get 5* duplicates, also 4* merges don't convince me so much. I use what I have and it's been good for me, since I'm between Tier 17-18 and managed to deal with teams that had +5 merges and full builds, commonly Horse Emblems and Ike. Now, I rarely found units that are +1 or even +2. If I ever find a +5 they lack a skill or they are in level 1. Also, I found out units I've never seen before like a TA/Raven F!Robin or even Hawkeye (it was someone in Tier 20) and when I got Horse units they are unmerged, commonly Xander or they don't appear at all, occasionally Reinhardt and B!Lyn have +1 merges too when they used to appear with +5. Did the Arena change to balance the teams?

Most likely. They made changes to the arena system, and it looks like matching change was included.

4-star +10 merges are statistically equal to a 5-star +5 in most cases barring heroes who have a 3 point difference in a given stat between 4 and 5 stars. It's a huge BST boost and adds to their overall performance and ability to compete in the top arena tiers and is a lot easier to manage than making actual 5-star merges for a f2p player so I do strongly recommend slowly building up your merges for ideal iv heroes since there is essentially no real drawback if you aren't trying to make 5-star +10 instead.

The only unit I have a lot of copies is F!Corrin, sadly no +Spd -Res yet. I have like 3-4 copies of some heroes so I might consider doing merges. I need space as well, more units for AA are always welcome.
