Are there others satisfied with 4*+10 like me?

It just seems so efficient resource-wise. I've come to grips with the fact that I'm not going to 5*+10 everybody I want to due to me not being super keen on HM farming or whaling. My feeling is that if they're not in my arena core and I'm not a huge fan of the character and I already have enough copies, then 4*+10 is "good enough." Meaning, they're going to do the job they're supposed to with those stats, though they do not reach their full potential.

So 4*+10 it is. You get the approximate stats of 5*+4 (correct me if I'm wrong) but it takes such a small fraction of the feathers:
20,000 to promote one copy to 5* to get the 5* skills (if required)
2,000 for each 3 star that needs promoted to 4*.
At the most this is 42,000 feathers. Right? Versus 220,000+ to 5*+10.

I've done Lukas, Cherche, Effie, Adult Tiki, Oboro, Cecilia, Lilina, Ogma, Caeda, Clair, Olivia, Donnel, and Cordelia.

What are your thoughts?

It just bugs me, because I always know they could be BETTER. but to each their own, I suppose.

Yeah I felt that way too. But after staring at so many unmerged 5*s in my barracks, I just pulled the trigger and merged 4*. Lukas was the first I went through that thought process with.

There are characters I'm ok with doing 4*+10 and others whom I would rather give 5*+10 slowly.

Bartre, Nino, Cecilia, Est, M.Robin, and Sophia are definitely on my 4*+10 list, but they keep getting foddered so the merges aren't progressing. (Except Est, but I'm not pulling any copies of her so she also doesn't progress). Nino especially because she gets most of her power from buffs, and M.Robin because I consider him first and foremost a support unit. Marth I probably want to go 4*+10 but I want to keep some spur spd around and I barely pull any copies.

Odin I think I prefer 5*+10. He has 147 BST but with full +6 buffs he plays like 171 BST because he can actually use the bulk and it doubles as atk buffs to the point where he can get away with using sol. Similar for Eirika.

Definitely. I 4* merge every unit I like that I know I won't do as a 5* merge, I've got F!Corrin, Cherche, Est, Olivia, Marth, Hana, Selena, Nino, Cecilia done or nearly done and I've got plenty others in the works like L'Arachel, Clair, Beruka, Shanna, Mae, Setsuna, Mathilda. I've got some as 5* copies which I'll keep in the hopes of eventual prf weapons before merging in.

It's the logical thing to do as they're much better than a 5*+0 and you can choose IVs easier.

Depends on who it is, really. I 5+10'd Olivia because she's one of my favorites, but I 4+10'd Rebecca because I was never going to build her as a 5*. I reserve 5*'s for my favorites and 4*'s for 'useful, but not going to be used.'
