Are the New Spring Banner Weapons Preferred or Inheritable?

If Catria's can be inherited, I may have some fun build ideas. If not, no use spending my orbs on blues. Figured Alphonse's would be as a Wo Dao-esque weapon. Wasn't sure on the rest. Anyone know, por favor?
