AR tier demotion

That's...a bit odd... And disheartening.

Hopefully not other wise it'd be a big slap to the face for a lot of people

It's quite weird, I believe it's only demote you if you drop below certain tier, maybe if you drop below tier 11 ?

or perhaps it works weekly ? if you were tier 15 this week, then tier 14 next week, your fortress D will get deleveled.
not sure which one is true, because my fortress D is lv 2, and I got demoted to tier 14 once because defense loss, but my fortress D still lv 2.

I think it only takes effect while you are in a lower tier! You will get it back when you promote again

I’m assuming it’ll be a temporary penalty, like how bonus structures give you +1. Maybe this will escentally be a -1. If you think about it, something would have to be done. Imagine a tier 21 that stopped playing or just deranked on purpose. If he has a maxed out defense, a true tier 8 will never have a chance.

There have been reports of not losing the lvl during a season, so we are guessing that the level is only substracted if you get demoted a tier after the season ended (as in started in tier 15 and end in tier 14). That would make sense as a counter messure for sandbaggers that would only play once a week or so and win defenses by having buildings at a much higher lvl in lower tiers and also to sink the rank of inactive players at a higher rate.
