Anyone noticed this?

I noticed that with the latest update, you actually promote 3-4 star unit potential right out of the gate, assuming you still have the feather amount.

For example, I was able to promote a 4 star Cherche to 5 star at level 1 right away.

This is a nice convenience if you want to quickly add merges and/or inherit 5 star skills and weapons to 4 star merged units.

However, if you are going to use the promoted unit in the future, I think it is still a good idea to get most of the 4 star available skills and build up SP before promoting so that way you can save some SP when using skill inheritance and even weapon refinery.

Yeah i noticed that too. At least now you won't have to waste time to bring them up to Lv.20 before being able to upgrade units for fodder or merge and it helps a lot

It also helps when you check IV's too and you want to instantly promote a 4 star unit to get their niche. For example, Ares lives off of Dark Mystletainn and using a Slaying Edge leveling him up to 20 doesn't feel the same without Special Spiral 3 built in.

I think this is the most helpful part, being able to check IVs on units that are lv2-19. Mind you, I've never been short of crystals or shards if I ever wanted to level up that way.
