Anyone Else Think This TT Sucked?

The Tempest Trials are generally among my favorite pieces of content. They're challenging, the rewards are good and they are a nice way to develop characters.

This was the first one I found utterly unsatisfying. The maps felt extremely gimmicky and often unfair running any strategy other than flyers with reposition, the Zelgius bug was ridiculous, and the rewards were pretty blah. Armored Boots was nice and everyone loves orbs, but everything else was lackluster in comparison to getting much better deals and good characters like Jacob.

Just a bad personal experience or do any of you folks feel the same way?

The new Eliwood is great, I'll start using him once I finish TT grinding. Could've tried him out there, but would've needed to grind him to Lvl 40 first so nah, I'm good.

I agree that the Sacred Seals were lackluster, but I don't see how the maps, randomly generated, could be that much worse...

I personally think it should have been a mini one cause valantines day doesnt last for 2 weeks

I'm inclined to agree. I didn't have much issues with the maps. but only just recently did I get my an A in Speed and an A in Survival on the top difficulty. The maps were just meh. I like armored boots, but they're not actually useful enough for me to want to run them often. Glad they're introduced though; it's an awesome idea. Eliwood was good and whatnot, but since I don't use armor teams and can't pull a Grima to save my life, I have no good abilities or teammates for him besides Zelgius. Fortress Res is pretty useless; I just slapped it on my Wrys.

Fun, but not nearly as fun as in the past or in the last Tempest Trials Mini.

Nope. This TT was pretty standard when it came down to it, and the rewards to me at least are above average, while they weren't amazing they're still really good, armored boots especially since it's useful for those that don't have armor march and for armor units in mixed teams. I think why some people feel this way is because we had two tempest minis in a row, so people kinda forgot or got used to the shorter ones. 'course I prefer the longer ones, so there's that. Still, when it comes to the suckiest tempest trials, the first one takes the cake.

I’ve felt their all pretty dry in general, just the concept of them and how long each run lasts. It was just as simple as usual, I used my same team as I do on all them and didn’t struggle. Reinhardt, Nino, regular Azura and a bonus unit (brave bow Roy this time).

I just do my two bonus rounds for on the highest lunatic difficulty then set my tanky units on the highest hard mode to burn out my stam. I go for 50k points then stop, that’s enough for me. Anything more bores me way too much.

It’s also great to level up a new unit from 1-40. Usually only takes about 6 runs, just keep going up to the next difficulty.

I agree, Eliwood is lackluster, the seals suck if you already have armor march, and the Zelgius bug killed so many of my runs.

The Armored Boots seal isn't meant to be used on Armor Emblem. It's meant for Mixed Emblem teams. You can tell that Intelligent Systems is trying to promote the usage of mixed Emblem teams because of Tactic skills. The only one we're missing now is Speed Tactic.

I found it pretty similar to the rest other than it being a little harder. I could previously do the level 35 TT on autobattle with Winter Tharja and the next one with Fjorm, Marisa, and Summer Xander fairly consistently. This time I only have Eliwood and Lyn so I can only do level 30 consistently. If I had Hector then I bet I would be able to do level 35.

There were good things and bad with this TT, but most come down to personal preference.

Were the rewards a bit lackluster? Compared to what we have seen with recent TT rewards (QR seal, heavy blade, ploys, etc.) I would say yes. Eliwood was exempt from this because he is a very solid armor unit we all had the chance to get for free.

Was it a bit too long for my liking? I would disagree. Longer TT means an extra week of daily rewards, meaning an extra 1,050 hero feathers and 14 sacred stones.

The Zelgius bug was annoying only because the teams I used were solely for the purpose of HM farming, and that seemed to hurt speed multiplier if I didn’t run a unit that was properly equipped to handle him when he popped up (also the reason I refined light breath on Ninian and gave her a speed seal).

My biggest gripe was the fact that I couldn’t pull a single focus unit from the LA banner. But that is just good old RNG at its finest. I had to grind out the points with a Ninian since my Clarine got maxed on HM last TT. For that reason, I wasn’t going to go nuts on trying to grind the TT because my max score potential was 604 per round on the highest difficulty, which dropped below 400 on level 30 and was not much higher for 35. I’m about to hit 99,999 and when I do, I’m done with this TT.

I found this TT to be less boring than the last two. Eliwood is a fun unit. Not bad, but not super op. There weren't any REALLY GOOD seals like Quick Riposte for the one TT we had (Was it 2 TT's ago?).

I wouldn't mind more Tempest Trials that are just... fine. No Vantage Seal, Steady/Warding Breath seal, no Distant/Close Counter seal. Just pretty good seals that could boost your team's utility and survivability, but not seals that are so good that it'll shake the meta or anything.

It wasn’t as bad as the first one, where things were coded wrong and all fallen enemies came back when your team got beat.

Only thing I hated about this TT were the map choices. The halloween maps are kinda shit in my opinion and having to play them every round wasn't the most fun. At least the rewards were really good.
