Any suggestions for Sonya

I’ve had this Sonya for a crazy long time. She’s been consistently one of my best units. Nowadays, however, I’ve noticed more and more units in the meta simply has the stats to survive against her or kill her first. The new armors, especially with distant counter, have been giving her a hard time and I don’t always have the speed +3 seal on her simply because there’s so many different units who really want that seal. Is there anything I could do to help push her back into relevance?

My advice is that you have the rest of your team cover for those weaknesses. Sonya is still pretty powerful. I would consider maybe throwing Desperation on her with someone who can buff her speed that way she can deal some damage. Throw in a dancer (Or hell even PA Inigo if you have him) and you'll be able to wreck some stuff with her. As for seals, maybe use something like Attack +3 to boost her attack. You could also maybe put Fury on her so that way she can more safely get within Desperation range. I don't know how well it would work, but if you did a HP +5 seal maybe run Vengeance or Retribution to stack that damage on there.

Sonya is one of the big victims of all the new skills leaving ranged infantry in the dust. She'd be a prime Wrath user were it available to her (like in the main series games T_T). Best "new" way to use her I've found, is not in anything new added to HER base kit, but in team support brought on by the inflated HP stats + more accessible Infantry Pulse.

Just for fun, I've managed quite a few defense wins with double IP QP Iceberg shenanigans, not much can take her atk stat in addition to a fixed +26 damage off of that res stat.

Otherwise? Yeah, she's one of the many infantry mages who've found themselves displaced by IS' attempts at balancing their mistakes with the ranged ORKO meta (which was always more of a threat on ranged HORSES anyway), and how tanky and THICC everything has gotten in arena as a result.
