Any fe Heroes for fun players?

Woah hold up. I'm sensing a pinch of salt on you, but there are people who play both for fun and the competition. I do use some of my favorite characters, but i also invest a ton of feathers into them to make sure they're usable and can compete in the meta. I do fun builds as well that only work on certain characters (Like a 50 HP bride Lyn that has panic ploy, panic staff, and basically destroys buffer teams). I'm tier 20 as well. You don't need to play only for competition to get this far, you just need to know what youre doing.

I look over new ways to use my old favorites all the time. Still waiting to pull a Lyn, I tweaked Nino twice, I theorycraft Eliwood on a regular basis (the game is too focused on bait and counter for him to be arena useful compared to others but he's good for trials and chain challenges), Corrin (f) has a few different ways to get used and so on.

Any character can be useful but the issue is how niche it gets (Niles for example is very weak even at his required job; especially if raven tomes show up) to see how much you can still use them in the arena, but outside of the arena, all the varying game modes require you to use off meta builds and such which is the other fun part.

Its either u have it or you dont, and if you have it you WILL use it because its top tier for a reason...
Like if it wasnt for HM i wouldnt be investing in my -spd SRobin or MMarth. Like yea it keeps it fresh a little but its takes a lot longer to clear maps without so called "top tiered characters"

If you're playing just "for fun" you'll probably quit soon. There's little to do if you don't aim to complete end game stuff or rank up in the arena. Heck, there's little to do even if you do that.

Hey, some of my favorite characters are in (or were in) the top tier. Hector, Nino, Ninian, Lucina, Effie, Lyn (okay, Bridal Lyn)... Those were CYL votes for me before launch. (Granted so were Serra and Matthew! I do use Serra but I dislike Matthew's statline.) In general, I won't use a top tier character if I dislike them - like Ryoma - or their art - like Camus - but I don't only pick my favorite units. Actually, I'll sometimes pick low tier units to invest in just to see if I can make a weirdly effective build using them - like skyhigh resistance Caeda.

Plus, the game has other modes outside of the arena and incentivizes unit diversity through hero merit. I've never fielded my unmarried Lyn in the arena but she gets plenty of use in the Tempest Trials.

I'm currently on a low tier of arena, but I never drop since I always have a defense team, so I'm basically trying to go through the ranks, get heroes for squad assaults, and raise a variety of heroes. Plus, I love stockpiling Crystals for special occasions.

I wanna get a good Henry since he was one of my favorite heroes in Awakening. Getting good abilities for heroes takes time you know! ;_;

Raising a Matthew, Donnel, Raven, Fae, Michalis, Adult Tiki, Lukas, Lilina. Not the greatest, but I enjoy a variety. I wanna get Setsuna, Felicia, and Robin too, but I don't have any good ones. Gotta look out for them good IV's though, even for your favorites.

I have the elite heroes but I play for fun even though I do buy orbs. I easily have the heroes to make top 20 easy but I stay around 17 cause it's easy to reachange wit out too much thought. I play this game for non arena fun really. I like leveling and collecting herows and building them up for maps and stuff.

As for in depth strategy and tactical play, I do that in games like total war and not here.
