Hey... title pretty much says it all. I already had a neutral VL Ike, so... yeah. The CYL event was nice, but not as good as I was hoping, mostly because Warding Breath is much harder to find good users for, unlike Steady Breath that everyone and their mothers want on everything.
The way I see it, I could merge him into my current Ike (VL), fodder for Warding Breath, save him for future units who might want WBreath, or keep him as an Assault unit.
Here's my potential units that I could give Warding Breath.
- Zelgius (+Atk -Res)
- Fjorm (Neutral)
- Nowi (+Def -Res)
- Dorcas (+Res - Hp)
- Fae (Unbuilt, I have two 4 stars, one is +Res -Hp, other is +Def -Spd)
Thoughts?
I'd say that unless you're planning on getting him 5*+10, a single merge isn't going to do much. And Warding Breath is really good for mixed tanks.
I would go with Fjorm first since she is pretty much the definition of a mixed tank. But if you pull a +Res Nowi or decide to build your +Res Fae, they can become decent mixed tanks as well.
If you really want to mage bait with the res boost of warding breath, Fjorm or Fae are the way to go from this list. Zelgius and Dorcas should really not try to bait mages. They want to get the jump on them, not the other way around. At least Zelgius can take on greens and Dorcas can take on blues. Aside from Winter Tharja, there aren't many red mages running about in arena.
