Alright i wanted to make a sort of poll
Who here thinks there are 6 corrin alts, 6 robin alts and or 5 tiki alts? Also if you believe or disbelieve this, why?
I will admit i believe there arwnt that many alts for those characters. They are separate between male and female robin/corrin as well as young/adult tiki.

There's 3 Robin!M's, 3 Robin!F's, That's how I see it. They are by Fire Emblem lore logic different entities. They have different respective universes and potential outcomes so I see them differently. Thus, Winter Robin is a possibility for Robin after Awakening, same for Summer Robin. The Grima's are also Robin given that they are "What If's" regarding if Robin gave into Grima and chose to rule alongside it (which I believe happens in the original universe, since Robin had his memories and seemingly didn't know Chrom, or his spouse/friends, long enough to form a meaningfull relationship. )
Corrin I see in the same light, it's different universal personalities. These 2 recent Corrin's are "what if's" regarding Anankos' twisted iteration, through Azura's dreaming and Anankos' powers (with a bit of Loki sprinkled in).
The Tiki's however I see as a single entity. They are the same person no matter the universe, and they are in 3 different games, and as such I see them as different "moments" in Tiki's existence. Once when she was still unable to control her powers (Y!Tiki) and when she is a nearly complete Naga replacement (A!Tiki) therefore she does have 5 alts, she just has them spread depending on the time and place she is in.
Long explanation for a I disbelieve this. They're different entities or entities in different times. Furthermore, and to be fair, if the older games got a bunch of alts nobody would bat an eye. It just turns out that the major contenders for alts are the newer games and people simply don't want that. But I could kinda see why.

Corrin - They fulfill the same role, but they aren't the exact same character, as their personalities are a bit different. In terms of alts, however, as they are effectively the same, I would consider them having 6 versions altogether, just split evenly in terms of gender, as they are both collectively the same character.
Robin - Mostly the same as Corrin, but with one distinctive difference: both Fell Robins are Robin in name only, as they are actually Grima using Robin as their host body. Therefore, I would consider them as having a total of 4 versions.
Tiki - This one is a bit more tricky. While they are the exact same person, their personalities are noticeably different. Even their roles are different. Still, I would consider her having 5 versions, but I could understand how, due to the difference in role and personality, that other people would consider them different in reference to Heroes.

I view the male and female versions as separate. They look completely different, and they appeal differently to different people. Female versions get more fanservicey alts (the male Adrift Corrin is pretty much the only male version of either character that could be considered at all fanservicey, but female Corrin has both an Adrift version and a bathing suit version, and female Robin has a bathing suit version while male Robin doesn't have anything remotely fanservicey--and that mostly in his damaged art only), so I don't think it's fair to count the female versions against male versions (like, those of us who want more male Robin/Corrin won't really be satisfied by someone pointing out all the sexy female versions of those characters). It would be as silly as a guy saying, "Man, I'd love to see her in a swimsuit," and someone going, "Well, you've seen her twin brother in boxers. That's basically the same, right?"
So, that's why I count them as separate characters. I suppose there are some people who don't play the game with an eye to the waifu/husbando aspect, but I think most people have some preference as to male/female in the units they like best to collect.
Personally, I don't really count the Grimas as separate characters. If the game was more story-based, so that the fact that they have different personalities (and are essentially a different entity) mattered more. But it doesn't really, so since they look like Robin, I count them as male/female Robin.
I do count the Tikis the same. Maybe it's because I didn't play the game with the young Tiki, so I don't see how they would be any different. And because they all look pretty much the same and appeal to probably pretty much the same audience.

I disbelieve this. I'm indifferent to Robin and Corrin in general but to me each gender of the avatar characters only have 2 alts if you discount their base forms and even then, the Fallen Robins are more Grima than anything so that's technically less for the Robins. As for Tiki, I consider her Adult and Young forms as separate characters seeing as well...they're at different ages in life.
To simplify things, the way I see it;
2 Corrin alts per gender
1 Robin alt per gender
2 Young Tiki alts
1 Adult Tiki alt(Hopefully a Legendary Adult Tiki comes around so the Tikis at least have matching alts?)
Bonus Grimas despite the name Robin

The female and male Corrins are alternate versions of the same character. They're both Corrin, even if they're different Corrins.
Brave Veronica has a different personality and life experiences to Normal Veronica, but I've never heard anyone say that makes her not a Veronica alt. I don't get it.
The Y!Tiki/A!Tiki distinction is even more baffling. It's not even an alternate version it's the literally the same person at different ages. Is small Azura a completely new character now?
